Wow.  That's kind of a selfish attitude....
I am sure he is heartbroken.

Hahahaha. Get over yourself.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Wow! Four players with injuries or prior injuries: Henry, Duane, Luke and Traci. Hope they are healed up by next fall.

Wow! It's March, I'm just not sure why any of those guys will heal in 7 months for Marquette Madness

If there was only some sort of science behind athletic rehabilitation to help these guys get the proper treatment and recovery.

GGGG

Traci isn't hurt.  Henry and Duane seem to have no issues that would prevent them from healing completely by early summer.

The only concern would be Luke's shoulder.

Henry's injured hand is his off-hand, correct?

Duane missed a whole season with a stress fracture and now has a fractured wrist. With his slight build, he may always be a risk of getting hurt.

He probably misses the McD AA game too.

I read a 6-8 week injury, but he's going to see a hand specialist soon.

Disappointing if he can't show his stuff and represent MU in the McDonald's game, but so be it if he can't play in that game.

I agree durability could be a concern with him given his body type, but the fractured wrist was diving into the scorers table, not an injury anything to do with his build, strength, etc.

I was at the Kohl hole today... Rough first 4 minutes for Ellenson, but many he oozzes with potential. Not many 6'10 guys who can handle the ball like him. You could definately tell he was hurting with his left hand....He literally played with one hand and still managed to put up a MVP stat line. This kid is special.

Yes, totally agree, and his performance yesterday with what we now know is a significant injury is just more evidence of how good this guy is going to be.  Yet, there's still the large hand wringing crowd here of - well, he'll only be a freshman, well, it's a huge step up in competition, well, this, well that.

I've said it before and I believe 100% he's going to have a Dwyane like impact on the MU program, especially if he's not just one year at MU and off to the NBA.

I doubt that your buddy Derrick would of fractured his wrist.

Watching Kentucky I coume to the conclusion that Ellenson is a less athletic clone of Trey Lyles. Both are inside/out players who can handle the ball, but Lyles is quicker and a better leaper.

Henry's a better ball handle and shooter.

I saw a school named "Young Coggs Prep" won the D5 title.  Is that a charter school or a private school of some sort?

Before he hurt his hand yesterday, he dribbled one ball off his knee and had another poke away from behind. He is a good ball handler for a 6'10", but like Gardner he should give the ball to someone else to bring the ball up court.

I'd be thrilled if HE rebounds like Lyles. But I am hoping his offensive game is much more refined. Part of that is Lyles deferring, for sure, but I think Henry will be given the saddles immediately.

Blackhat

He's nothing like Gardner in the open court.  In D I ball he won't be leading breaks often but he has a smooth handle despite the knee turnover.  That is why he is a McD his mobility for his length.

Speaking of the game - Cinci is a great rebounding team. But man do they struggle offensively. This game could easily be within 1 or 2 if Cinci just hit a couple of their wide open looks - this half even.

Hopefully Henry's hand heals on its own without the need for any surgery or anything.  If anybody sees any updates please post them.

On a personal note, I feel very bad for him and his Rice Lake team.  You only get one chance to win a State Championship as a Senior.  Fortunately, Henry gets great basketball memories going forward.  But for many of his brothers tonight is the very last time they will wear a competitive jersey.  We all eventually get it ripped from our back and for most it happens at the end of high school.  Pick-up games in the Rec. Center are fun but......

Have some patience, FFS.

That blows. I'm sure one of Henry's dreams was to play in the state title game and bring home the championship. I hope his teammates can win it for him.

Haha.  I wonder if there is a trophy in the Helfaer Rec Center trophy case?
