Great time talking to Jay Wright before the Marquette game as MSG. I noted his praise of Carlino in the piece posted.

A funny moment about an hour before Marquette's tip off occurred when Wright circled back through the room where I was alone finishing my story. He asked me how to get back to the court.

I have to admit I had a flash of Spinal Tap and perhaps sending him down an endless hallway so that he could never find the court and thus could not scout Marquette. Obviously we both saw the game later. What a night! Granted it's tough to be in a suit in the media section behind the basket for an outing like that and not be able to cheer such a great effort.

The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

Correct! If jay had not seen derrick's 14 assists or Matt's 8 treys, then he would have no idea how to defend us!
