Duane's Attitude
« on: February 21, 2015, 09:25:28 PM »
I love that Duane has taken it upon himself to let opposing players (Delgado, Ochefu) that he doesn't like they way they are playing and let's them know about it. He's letting it be known that he's not taking sheet from anyone. Love it.

Agreed.  I suspect he will emerge as the team leader over the next three seasons.  Nice to have a young kid show that kind of presence and attitude.

Love leadership, love toughness. He's got to watch that getting into others faces and complaining to the refs. It can get you a reputation you don't want.

Duane is a natural born winner.

Missed a couple around the rim today and you could see how mad at himself he got. I suspect he'll be greatly improved next year.

Agreed, I've noticed that at times he makes the degree of difficulty on those drives much higher than it needs to be.  Very high ceiling for the young man.

If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I love his leadership.  I love his attitude.  Getting a technical foul for jawing with another player was a dumb thing to do.

But he is going to be the heartbeat of this program as an upperclassman.  I have no doubts about that.

We are gonna need his fire and energy next year. He definitely brings it, not too concerned about the tech, it just shows he doesnt back down. He will be able to control his emotions as he grows into his role as a leader.

Love his attitude.  They were offsetting technicals yesterday and I don't know who started the jawing. But good to see he doesn't back down. He will develop into an outstanding player and leader.

I love Duane's attitude and hard work ethic to win.  he will be ten timeso the point guard than the slow down, poor shooting incumbent.

Duane needs to get to the basket and use the backboard rather than doing those one-handed shovel shots while pulling up short of the hoop.  Hard to finish consistently that way.  No extra points for degree of difficulty.

He seems to struggle with his confidence, especially at the line.  He clapped his hands and yelled on D after bricking two FT's then gave up an easy lane to the bucket for a layup.  Wasnt he a 90+% FT shooter in HS?  He seems too good to get caught up in that.  Perhaps he's just pressing.

He's gonna be a great player here. And I wasn't mad about the T. He got popped with a dirty elbow by Ochefu.
