GOO

Two of my best MU memories are his 3 from the corner over ND and that performance against UConn.

But if my memory serves me correctly, even Novak didn't step in and shoot lights out right away in the early games.  There is an adjustment even for a player like Novak with a high and unique skill coming to college.  Novak didn't have the inside game or driving ability to offset that one unique skill until his Senior year, so that may have worked against Novak, or, in his favor in that he just set up in the corner for the 3 early in his career.

I really do miss having Diener out there who had to be face guarded outside the 3 point line AND Novak who had to be face guarded.  So easy with those two to spread the floor.  Novak's guy wouldn't even look away from Novak when he was standing at the 3 point line to help out on a cutter to the hoop. Or if the defender did take a step away, Novak would get a shot.

The beautiful thing about having a guy like Diener was if we were up by 4 or more with ~1 min left it was game over.   Ice in the veins at the ft line.

Ugh oh, you left the door open for Ners on that one. :)

You mean like the Sweet 16 game against Pitt where Diener missed two FT while MU lead by 3?  Luckily Brandin Knight's halfcourt heave was wide left.

I know, I know. That's one of the few times Diener missed the clutch FT.  Just sayin'.

The shot vs ND was not a 3.

Likely just a throw in expirin' contract, ai na?

right, right.

Checking to see if the mods have again made that expression a substituted word, or if you're just being paranoid.

They did it again.  I feel so warm and protected and tingly inside.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Nah, what you're feelin', Murray, is probably just rectal gas, hey?
