The other day, my friend who is a ortho nurse, recounted this conversation with Steve after surgery:  "Remember when you hit the brakes too soon?  Twenty stitches in a hospital room. When you started crying,  Baby, I did too .  But the sun came up."

His rehab has come a long way.
