I'm hijacking this thread and going in a different direction.  On Senior day chick and I will absolutely stay for the ceremony. Juan and Derrick will presumably both he earning their MU degree in May. That's worthy of our support.  It's easy to be a fan when times are good. Consider that when you call yourself a dedicated fan and supporter of the team.

Absolutely. Haven't missed one since '08. Hopefully will be there each year for the next 60.

I'll be there as well....and will honor our seniors with a standing ovation to show my gratitude.   I get it (as does everyone) that Derrick and Juan are both limited on the court in what one would expect from D-1 basketball starters in the Big East.   In fact, their play is often a liability.   That has been almost cruelly debated (not really even debated in terms of their performance, but the context and situation MU is in relative to their playing time) enough to make me ill.  I am sickened of the piling on and constant personal attacks, especially on Derrick.   Let's not forget these young men came to MU as kids with dreams and aspirations.   They worked their asses off and by all accounts represented our University with honor.   They have been a part of some great high points (elite 8 run, Big East champs) and the absolute lows of the program.    Let them go in peace with some dignity and respect as we thank them for their commitment to our school and program.   May God bless them on the next part of their journeys and I hope their MU experience will have been transformative for them personally and have long term impact on their success and happiness in life.

It always drives me crazy when 2/3rds leave. These guys provide us fans so much diversion and pleasure even in tough years. The one last pay back for us fans to give for all the fun they provide is a nice ceremony and ovation.  Our seniors this year were all asked to be something they aren't and they did it all at 110%.  Says a lot about them far greater than their on court results, which we are quick to forget, both very good and bad over their time...but always competed the same. Very proud.

Why isn't the ceremony before the game commences?  I get that their careers have ended when game is over but honoring them before their last performance would assure a larger attendance

Going and either (A) Leaving early or (B) being less than supportive says way more about you than it will about this current senior class.    At least the seniors will have the word 'class' associated with them.

Agreed.  I've always stayed.  These young guys give their all and deserve recognition. Sure, we may bemoan a particular guy's weaknesses, but they are our guys and we should salute them for their efforts even if those effort did not translate to wins.  Life is more than Ws and Ls in the end.

Some coaches don't like to disrupt pre-game routines.  Maybe it will change with Wojo?
