The @nbadleague 3-point contest will include Seth Curry, David Wear and Vander Blue, among others.

Amazing, I cannot believe that. Good for him. Had he just stayed one more year he would be in the NBA, but looks like he'll get back anyway. His turn around has given me hope on some of these other underclassmen, to think how awful he was on offense as a sophomore.

He may be in the NBA and Marquette would have been much better. He would have feasted on the driving calls last year and would have given us a guy who could regularly create his own shot while lessening the need for such heavy minutes for Derrick. Oh well. Hopefully he uses the D-League as a springboard back to the NBA.

And Jake isn't here.

Which means more minutes for Todd.

We would have been infinitely better

Watched a few of his games and he has been a big time scorer. Good for him

I'm glad he's doing well, but if you look at the box scores for most D-League games, almost everyone is a "big time scorer."

Last time I checked, Vander was fourth in the league in scoring, so he is one of the biggest time scorers ;)

Seriously, the guy leaves MU and people still take shots at the guy.  He has improved quite a bit in the D-League over the past year and a half.  I wonder if someone will take a flyer at him either this year or next off-season.

Despite leading MU to an Elite 8 appearance, a surprising number of fans never really warmed to Vander. He played angry, left early and, in the eyes of many, never fully became the player that they wanted him to be.

In terms of his NBA prospects, he's still only 22 and he's putting up 21-5-5 with splits of 49.0/42.4/72.5. D-League or not, those are impressive numbers. I wouldn't be shocked to see a team give him a shot down the stretch this season. If not that, he'll definitely be invited to a camp before next season.

I was really hoping that he'd stick with the Spurs (but didn't) because he would have brought an energy, defensive tenacity, and attack the hoop mentality off the bench. But alas, maybe the reason his shooting percentages have increased is because he's finally listening to people.
