Luke had 6 points in the first 4:50.

He still has 6 points, even though he has repeatedly gotten the ball in the paint.
luke has been brutal after that nice start. suppose we could say the same for everyone. what a mess...

I agree with your premise, but I have no idea if Juan is a better practice player than sandy. You seem to know, though, since you guarantee he is one of the best practice players. I don't have that kind of inside info to make such a claim.
I know he's more qualified to evaluate talent than I am, so if he's giving more minutes to Juan than Sandy, Juan must be performing better in games, practice, classroom, or whatever else Wojo asks of them.

My point is that I don't need to see practice to surmise that Juan is a better practice player.  I trust that Wojo knows what he's doing.  I believe he's sending the right message to these kids that when you play for Marquette, you NEVER give up whether it's in a game, a season, a job, life, you name it.

He's also sending the message that when you play for Wojo, he will NEVER give up on you.  Remember - Sandy, Duane, et al. will become seniors eventually too. Don't you think they want to know that Wojo will have their back when their seniors just like he's had Juan's and Derrick's? If he just cast Derrick and Juan to the bench, don't you think they would wonder if the same could happen to them at the end of their careers in favor of the younger players?

Juan played well all night.

The other 4 starters each had moments, but too many lapses.

The 2 subs were invisible.

Liked seeing Duane get after Reynolds there. Good sign for his leadership, though in the future I hope he does it without contact.

Eh, not sure I would call that "contact." Sure, physical contact, but not baskeball scrum contact.

One would hope. I don't think it's so clear cut. some underclassmen might take a different message from sticking with a player(s) that aren't winning and transfer. Juan hustles his butt off and I'm sure is a great kid and student. Same with Derrick.

We might need to start a tracker: who scored more points in their last game, Henry or MU?

I'd like everyone who argued that we were a better team without Carlino to please show yourself, and continue your argument here. WHERE ARE YOU NOW??? WHAT SAY YOU NOW?!?!?!?!

Really?   Are you going to beat them up?

I believe the comments made were that people stepped up and played well the other day, they were aggressive, didn't just sit around and defer.  I believe people also said whether that can be sustained was unknown and probably couldn't be....but good luck on your expedition.

MU was outscored 59 to 28 in last 32 minutes.

Thought it was worst game played this year, almost everyone didn't play well.

Fischer was gassed after first 10 minutes

If SH didn't play its worst game this year, it would be 8 losses in a row.

Don't really know if they win another this year, just the hand Wojo was dealt.

Luke has to learn to pass out of a double team and how to avoid the foot shuffling but his defense was good tonight.
Hard to stay in a game when at most you have three offensive threats on the floor.

Wojo didn't have to go hard a$$ on Todd Mayo and run him off.  Wojo also lost Burton and Dawson.  No doubt this team could have used Burton's absolute talent and ability to score.  Dawson could have contributed to this team too.

It is what it is.  But if WOJO were a ticker symbol - I wouldn't be buying.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."
