SOTG
« on: February 07, 2015, 12:42:18 PM »
Flight is pulling back from the gate and I won't have access to wifi, so I want to get my early nomination in for JJJ as Stud of the game . He is stepping up and making things happen. STJr and Juan honorable mention . Hope we win so there will be an SOTG.

Steve.   Fewer out of control plays.
JJJ played well today.

Unbelievable that we were able to hang on.

1.   JjJ's Headband.
2.  Teve.  Big game from him, hopefully big things to come.
3. JjJ.  He had a good game.

Go Warriors!

These early sotg threads are jinxing us like no other.

My vote is for Steve, without him stepping up we lose.

JJJ - because his aggressive offense and defense changed the tone of the game

Teve is runner up, but the only thing he did different is made his shots.

JJJ.  Got the start, had to play a complete game and make an impact and did a nice job of it.

JJJ played well today.

Love this..

A back to the basket big isn't tasked with driving the ball into a traffic.  That is what a good* guard does - drives into traffic and in so doing puts himself in harms way frequently.  It leads to turnovers on occasion.  But it also leads to easy looks for teammates and the guy who attacks the basket, as well as stressing a defense/causing fouls.

I can't imagine what it must be like for the kids you coach.  You probably neuter your best players.

I'd probably vote for Steve.  His performance was probably more unexpected.  He was 7-9.  6 rebounds.  With Juan absolutely struggling, needed his play.

JJJ right there as well.

Really tough call between JJJ and Steve.  My gut tells me that JJJ had the better game (one of his best), but Steve hasn't won one and had a big block and a big rebound as well as great efficiency and energy.

I'm going with Steve, since he hasn't won yet, but both deserve big time credit, really liked what I saw out of both of them.  They stepped up and did their job when we needed them to.
