Exactly what we need to have a special team in a year or 2.  Thanks for that, Bert.

Kid can definitely play. 12.5 ppg and 3.2 rpg as a frosh, with an A/T of just over 2:1.  Shoots 85% from the line and 40% from 3.  And he calls for the ball in pressure situations.  Vandy got a good one.

So what was the story?  Did he really want to come here but Buzz wasn't interested?

More or less. He did want to come here, but Buzz already had Noskowiak in the fold, and thought they'd be too similar.

Guess we'll just have to get a Hauser instead

Would be nice to have Lachance.   Would be nice to have McKay.   Would have been nice to have Embiid.   Hell, would have been nice to have Schumpert/Dawson/Derosiers/ the JaJuan Johnson who went to Purdue/ 4 years of Jeronne/Blue back for his senior year.        Yup, lots of things would have been nice.

Many of those were out of Bert's control.  The kids just decided somewhere else was a better fit or made a poor decision based on people being in their ears.  Jeronne was never going to play the 2 guard and that's what he wanted.  Blue had it in his mind from his senior year in high school that he would be leaving early to make money.

McKay and LaChance were big time mistakes by the old coach.
