So....not all 3 of the scholarship offers are going to go to JUCO's or graduate transfers.

Not necessarily, just an offer.

Looks like he would be a real solid pickup for MU.

Absolutely agree- hard nosed defender, coaches son, seems to be a blue collar kind of player.  I really hope they reel him in.

I like hearing that he's a coaches son.  Should be solid fundamentally.  247 Sports has 71% predicting to MU.

First off, I really hope we get Anim. He's a late bloomer, a year young for his class, big upside and great work ethic.

Daring to dream a bit here, but he's friends with 2016 wing Amir Coffey (ranked top 40), who 247 sports recently said was considering Marquette, Iowa State and Minnesota.

Uhhh... not sure where some of you get your info, but it's out there. Way out there.

Anyway, for anyone in the Twin Cities, Sacar is at home on the island tomorrow night (Tues) vs. St. Agnes ... and Thursday they're at Homely Angels in Richfield.. both games 7pm.

Henry is at River Falls HS tomorrow night.. 7:45pm.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Has anyone seen him play? What are his strengths and weaknesses and will he be an early contributor or program guy?

I've seen sacar anim play probably 10 times.. He's a high-level D1 player, no doubt. Would be a nice get if Marquette nabs him

Sacar has a nice game, fun watching him play with Jarvis Johnson over his high school years.

High majors have stayed away though

Why, is Minnesota not all over him?  Or other High Major 1 schools?

The lack of high-major company we're keeping with in this recruitment is puzzling. So, Wojo now has the monopoly on talent evaluation?! Only Wojo sees what others miss? Seems unlikely.

Mark Miller says he thinks that Marquette has the best chance to get him, but its no guarantee. He thinks that Iowa, and Illinois are our main competition. I don't believe either school has offered him yet though, not sure on that. But one high major offer can quickly lead to many. Hope he comes our way.

Because he is 6'4 and mostly just attacks the rim right now. Jump shot needs some work. But athletic and can defend. Always been a nice role player on talented teams

I've never seen him play in person, but after doing some research here's my take:

Long(6'5 with a 6'8 wingspan) slashing wing player who's a solid finisher in the lane and at the rim. Not an AMAZING athlete, but a very solid athlete at this level. Highly regarded as a defender and can guard several positions(195 lbs). Has the ability to score but not a 3 point threat.

Here are some stats from this season as of January 3rd
25.2 ppg
6 rebs
1.5 steals- uses length on Defense
0.5 turnovers- takes care of the ball
2P%- 62%- Real solid finisher around the hoop
3P%- only 2 of 6 on the season- not really a threat
FT%- 82%- very good for a high schooler

On his video, he looks college ready.  MU needs some bigger physical bodies.  Knows how to score with that average so that is good. There definitely room at the wing, playing time should be
there.

So just don't offer our last 3 scholarships unless Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan State, UCLA, Syracuse, Virginia, and Florida have all offered the kid?  Sounds like a good recruiting plan there.

We have 4 top 100 freshman coming in.  There's only so much room for top level talent.  If we just sit and wait for the next top 100 guy to come in we'll just eat 3 scholarships.  No need to do that.  Might as well offer a kid who wants to come here and work hard for minutes and if he's not up to the level of competition then you reevaluate the plan for him after a year.  No harm in taking a kid like this at all, especially with 2 scholarships still open and available.

Cute, though.

He has shot way more than 6 3s this year. Pretty sure he just had a game recently where he shot that many in 1 game.

I'm actually pretty sure he just had a game recently where he made that many 3's in a single game.
