Duke or Illinois?

Who do you want MU to play? For some reason I want MU to play Illinois for once. Although beating Duke again would mean a lot if they could pull that off. You gotta imagine Duke would be pretty fired for another chance at MU again as well.

Illinois...during my three years of law school in chicago, all I ever heard was how Marquette would never beat Illinois.  So please, let me see that game!!!

Duke, helps RPI, and a chance to push it into Jay Bilas's face would be lovely.  What was the point of showing him in the new video game during Marquette's game?

couldn't they have something to talk about the two teams that were playing, either Ok St. young players or maybe MU's new jerseys and flashbacks to the 70s with Al?  Why show Jay Bilas and Duke crap

I want to play Duke.  I think that our quickness will give Duke more problems than Illannoy.

Our guard quickness matches up better against Duke.  Coach K will have them play a lot of man to man which we should use to our advantage.  We have more depth than U of I but they are better than people think.  We may have a tougher time against the Illini, but I'd love for MU to take it to the Dukies on their home network--ESPN.

Maybe because EA Sports is the freaking sponsor of the event?  Sheesh, lighten up man.  Bilas has always been very complimentary of MU and Tom Crean.  He talks us up big time.

Plus they reenacted one of our plays through EA's March Madness 08.  The game had our new jerseys showing very prominently, as well.

Duke is scoring inside and out against Illinois.....wow - we will have to play big against them and contest every shot - they are scoring easilty against the Illini

Duke is definately showing more quickness and athleticism on the perimeter this year. Henderson, Smith, and Nelson are great athletic wings. I wonder if Coach K would still play man to man against us after how we killed them last year with our penetration. I see he has played a little zone against Illinois tonight.

Funny they should say that. When the two schools played a home-and-home in the early 90s Marquette won both games.

While I would love to see Marquette destroy Illinois (since half of my high-school class goes there and talks them up) I would much rather bring Duke into our RPI.

After tonight I hope Duke wins every game they play until the tournament!
