Duke transfer Semi Ojeleye has cut his list to Illinois, Creighton, Washington, SMU, Oregon, and Wisconsin, source told @CBSSports.

Well, quite likely, that leaves three possibilities.  Coach K disciples don't take Duke transfers, Coach K has warned them to not bother with Semi, or Semi doesn't want to have anything to do with Coach K disciples. (Maybe the way Coach K coaches offense or defense or both doesn't fit him well, and he wants to avoid more of the same?)

Creighton, Creighton, Creighton!
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Not exactly a long list of elite schools. Could it be, he just ain't that good?

Kansas offered but apparently he wasn't interested. Probably wants to go someplace he knows he is going to play

ChitownSpaceForRent

Think Illinois gets him. Groce is like Hoiberg and gets a lot of transfers

I think you are correct.  I would keep an eye on Creighton and SMU from that list.  Both solid academic schools that are small private institutions.  He mentioned that he likes a University that is Basketball focused.  Creighton really stands out in that regard.

We have an in home visit scheduled with Ojeleye.  Hopefully that turns into a campus visit.  He supposedly wants to decide during the Christmas break.  Creighton seems like a great fit for him, hopefully he wants to stay somewhat close to home.  With Watson, Huff and Patton next year, Ojeleye would be a nice addition.

Or, of course, a fourth possibility - that Semi is interested in other schools.

If this is true, I hope Thornton goes along with Wojo.  We still might have a chance. ( Changing name again)

Jet is a Creighton fan.  Creighton has an in home.

Of course a possibility, but I find it interesting that none of Harvard, Northwestern, Marquette, Notre Dame, or Stanford even seemed to show passing interest. No word of any of them contacting him, and three are Midwest enough to be, while not close to home, at least as close as finalist Wisconsin. Also, grades shouldn't be an issue, Ojeleye was regarded as an excellent student, so any of those schools should have been able to admit him.

Glad to hear he won't be a Badger.

Larry Brown is 74 years old and on his 14th head coaching job (no typo!) dating back to 1972.

No job has lasted longer than 6 years (1997-2003 sixers).

This is year 3 with SMU.  Next year is year 4, the average time he spends at any one job.

Why does Semi think he will be around to even coach him when he becomes eligible?

We were never in on him. So, best of luck to semi. Wish he would have gone to Creighton

I was hoping for Creighton too. Hopefully it works out for him at SMU.

I've already lost the pool for how long it would take LB to get bored and quit on SMU in the middle of a season.  It's already long overdue.

The mid-year transfer probably isn't helping.  Not everyone has a scholarship open right this second.

Semi's grades must have been huge issue, and without a doubt Larry Brown is promising Semi a starting position and a future in the NBA.

This can be the only explanation why Ojeleye did not follow his dream to UW, and have the privilege of playing for Saint Bo.   :-*
