You've claimed to be "close" to the Marquette basketball team before. I hope you aren't close to them in an official capacity because continually tearing down one of our own players is embarrassing for yourself and the team.

Exactly. His chick must've kicked him to the curb or something to go out of your way after a 30+ pt win to tear down a kid that gives everything to his team. We all know derricks limitations. We don't need another Ners.

Steve.  Luke's 4 fouls DQs him.

Can we give SOTG to the two blondes in the Unofficial Luke Fischer fan club?

Here, here. They looked like twins. Damn. I read about them in Forum back in the McCormick days.

Careful now that was Luke's girlfriend and her sister, but they may be enough to push Luke over the edge for SOTG.

Do you think they will help attendance going forward?

Now I know why Luke was "homesick." I always felt "homesick" during deployments to the sandbox.

Juan. He was all over the floor. I love the way he pulls down rebounds with authority.

Wojo'sMojo

Luke is the easy choice for me. Carlino also had a good game with 8 points and 8 assists.

warriorstrack

Fischer, but Carlino good game!

MU82

Could obviously go to Luke or Juan, but I liked Taylor tonight.

Very active, two extremely nice entry passes to Luke, hit a 3, made a little jumper from the FT line, 6 boards, couple of steals, missed only one shot.

I don't think he was tearing him down. Maybe he liked Derrick's leadership out there tonite and that's why he gave him SOTG  ;D

I always love Juan, but with the Fox Sports 1 guys throwing Luke out there as the National Player of the Week I need to go with him this game to keep the momentum going. Obviously I am very disappointed in Steve only going 7 for 8 from the floor to make our centers a combined less-than-perfect 15 of 16.

The team hit 69.4% of their two-point shots. Nice.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

I say give it to Juan. He filled up the stat sheet with 13 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, and a steal. Plus, does all those little things so well. Did all this with 1 turnover and 1 foul.

Agreed.

Juan!

Had a Christmas party and I forgot to record the game prior leaving the house so by the time I remembered the second half was about to tip off.

In a second half in which it was a blow out and the game often times got out of control, I have to say I was most impressed with Carlino as he always seemed to settle the team down, made quality decisions tonight with his distribution, and was the senior leader this team needs.

It's hard to give it to Luke or Steve when our opponents couldn't even attempt to defend them.  Great games for both but again you have to consider the competition.  At 6'1" I could play the five against a ten and under team and dominate like those two did tonight.

The beauty of this commentary is that it underscores this was a nice team effort. I hope we always struggle with reaching a consensus after many wins.

KPom Oratings: Big Fisch=183, Juando=169, Steve=153, Matt=154. With Juan in the game MU outscored AAM 56-27. With Luke:47-34 with some rugged play by the guards. Steve: 65-37. Matt: 54-33.

I am still with Juan because of the point gap as the team was playing its best on both ends. Screams "Glue Guy of the Game". This game was never in doubt no matter the player, but the team played its best under Juan's play and leadership.

You're just as much of a loser with your posts about D. Wilson.  I love having him be a representative of Marquette, he's a way better one than you two.

Also I have to give it to Juan

I vote Huan - complete game and significant leadership on the floor. He was calming guys down, going up to each with advice and encouragement - this is big. Juan !
