TAMU, Knower of Ball

Howdy y'all,

Doing some research for PT article I'm writing. Does anyone have any good sites to look up box scores of Marquette games from the late 90s/early 2000s?

Thanks!

Looks like it'll be a difficult task

Try here if you haven't already

They have box scores of recent seasons, but not really older seasons, though they have season averages for players from back then and those numbers have to be coming from somewhere

When I wrote "The Ultimate Hoops Guide: Marquette University" my son was at MU and went to Marquette archives and copied tons of them. They should all those years. We went through looking for every season, and the only ones that were really tough to find were the 1940s when there were very few preserved.

If you every go back further just remember McGuire used to erase some of the missed free throws to give his guys a better chance to get drafted by the NBA :-)
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).
