Semi Ojeleye transferring from Duke

6'8, 230 lbs.
Can do this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viB6rGUhEIM

Would be a good get for Wojo!  Much preferred to a juco, IMO.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I could think of worse mid-season pickups. Sic 'em Wojo!

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

This will be a steal for Wojo.  Does everything, and can jump.  What a coup this would be. Saying prayers.

I think Wojo had a feeling this may happen. Confident he lands him.

🏀

Fairly certain that MU was on his early list.

Pakuni

The Internet seems to indicate that Wojo was pretty involved with Ojeleye's recruitment to Duke (i.e. was on the home visit with Coack K), so the relationship is there.

"Yesterday, shortly after the visit with Coach K and Coach Steve "Wojo" Wojciechowski, Ojeleye told the staff that he would like to join Duke's program."

This would be a awesome get.

Wouldn't fix the short term sting of Burton. But would eliminate the long term I think.

Fischer

I like that lineup.

He was recruited with Jabari, so maybe having him in Milwaukee helps his chances...

The Badgers were hot on his trail.

His brother played at Kansas State.   Semi broke the all time scoring record for (which stood for many years) HS in the state of Kansas.  Also he's a bright student.

If I remember Indiana and Stanford were very involved.

Hope Wojo can land him.  He's a gamechanger!

Is there any code? Wojo may not want to take a guy, just to not make Coach K mad.

Ridiculous athleticism, and did well when he got in the game at Duke.  Just had to try to crack a rotation with Jabari Parker last year, Winslow this year, Jeter next year...tough when you need the minutes to learn and develop versus to showcase as a lottery pick.  Hopefully he's comfortable with Wojo, otherwise could be K-State if they have a scholarship open.

Knight Commission

He is a perfect fit to the puzzle.

How do you know Coach K would be mad, though?
Maybe Coach K told the kid there wasn't a lot of playing time in his future at Duke, but playing at MU for his former assistant would be a great opportunity.*

* = total speculation on my part, of course.

Code? Mad?

I think Coack K would love to see his a talent like that go to his former assistant than to some other great team. I think he would be happy for Wojo.

Would be a very nice replacement for Deonte. Hopefully Wojo has some goodwill  with Semi. I imagine he will be wooed by many.

Why are people so confident we get this guy? We have no idea if he has any interest in coming here. We dont know if Wojo is in on him at all. He announced that hes transferring and everyone like " oh, Hes ours!"

Everyone? I think you need to re-read the thread. Everyone is much different from 1 or two people.

tower912

The kid has lots of options.   MU has as good of a chance as any and better than many because of the Wojo connection.   But it is miles from #done deal.

Calm down crazy. No one thinks we got him. Just would love to have him.

Just like Wisconsin, ISU and Kstate fans that I am already seeing around the web.
