I don't have any inside knowledge, but I'm pretty sure that if Semi doesn't choose Marquette, it'll be Derrick Wilson's fault.

Dude. That is literally exactly what I said.

If Burton or Semi DECIDE TO PLAY NEXT YEAR. They start SECOND SEMESTER and play that semester and then all of 2016-2017.

That is 1.5 years left of playing basketball.

If they sits all of next year for whatever reason. They can play 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.

It's like you are trying to argue something that isn't there.

No, no. Re-read the thread and how you replied to my comments first.

I was correct. You brought up something that was wrong. 2 years of competition eligibility remaining.

Good lord dude again arguing to argue. I was point out that if he decided to play next year he would be playing basketball for 1.5 seasons. That is COMPETING.

Sorry but he isn't competing from the bench 1st semester next year.

I specified how much he would actually be wearing a MU uniform for.

Ahh no, I can't read other posters minds from what's written.  Can you?

Put it in teal, follow it up with a statement of some sort, etc. to help us simpleton's out a little.

I thought it was pretty obvious.

According to these, he'll have 2.5 years eligibility remaining.

Why are people so confident we get this guy? We have no idea if he has any interest in coming here. We dont know if Wojo is in on him at all. He announced that hes transferring and everyone like " oh, Hes ours!"
because he went to Duke and is from the Midwest, and we are the Midwest Duke.

Ridiculous athleticism, and did well when he got in the game at Duke.  Just had to try to crack a rotation with Jabari Parker last year, Winslow this year, Jeter next year...tough when you need the minutes to learn and develop versus to showcase as a lottery pick.  Hopefully he's comfortable with Wojo, otherwise could be K-State if they have a scholarship open.

If what you say is true, it would be a mistake for him to come to Marquette since Wojo is on record saying that minutes are earned in practice and game minutes are not handed out "to learn".
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Think Coach K will swoop in and get Deonte?  Doubt it.  Wojo and Coach K may exchange notes about players.  If a player doesn't fit Duke's system why assume the player will fit Marquette's.

More proof that there are a lot of idiots out there.

Maybe that is true of whoever wrote those pieces for CBS and Sporting News.  I will say this, NCAA transfer rules do not seem to be the easiest to understand, especially these mid-semester transfers.

I don't think the problem with Semi was fit, but one where there were many better options in front of him.  He wouldn't face that at MU.  Really the only similar player would be Wally.

Earl Tatum

Story I read was Ojeleye has 2 1/2 yrs remaining.

<sigh>

He doesn't.

He is eligible after the first semester next year.  At that point he can either play the rest of that year and one other...or sit the rest of that year and play for two full years.

Why does this have to be explained every time there is a mid year transfer?

I'm curious if you mean Henry instead of Wally? Semi as 6-8 230 PF seems a little closer to Henry than his 6-6 210 SF brother.

If it's a foregone conclusion that Semi is going to play spring semester next year, then JayBee and HH are both correct. But it's not a foregone conclusion now, is it?

Jesusemilore Talodabijesu Ojeleye is probably closer to 6'7".

I think he meant Wally. From what I am hearing about Semi is that he likes being out on the wing and is comfortable there. Has a nice stroke as well.

IF he were to be here I think he would be playing the SF along side Henry the PF.

So you're telling me Semi has 3 yrs of eligibility remaining.

I think I have a semi.  Yup I do.
