Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

i wouldn't want to play this team after stinking it up on their own floor on national tv and then playing their intra-state rival for the axe

Feels a little low. I'm thinking something like: Vadgers 72  MU 54

I, too, felt like it would be a 20 point game that gets whittled down to something respectable.

If Steve or Juan foul out and we're not hitting from the outside, it can get ugly.
I'm hoping we stay efficient, play most of the game with a large foul and TO disparity in our favor, and stress their team into not playing Badger brand of basketball.

Definitely a David vs Goliath type of matchup considering the statuses of the two teams this year.

I really don't see how Kaminsky doesn't go for 40

I think it will be a lot like ohio state game. We will keep it close and then they will go on a run and then we will make it respectable in the last few minutes. Weren't we down by 19 with about 5 to go?

Way more likely that he scores less than 20 than 40+. Come on now.

Maybe we can pull a Villanova vs Georgetown thing, hey?

Hey, clearly I have no inside information but didn't a coach from that little school from NC just beat Bucky? Yes, they shot lights out and have a lot more talent then us but I suspect the line from Wojo's to coach K has been white hot these past few days. Just maybe the Wojo/K brain trust will keep this respectable. At a minimum it will be a great learning experience for conference play and I suspect we will have one of the best in the business providing some tutoring.

Much stranger things have happened.  Ask Ralph Sampson.

yup!  maybe a little pep talk from jimmy v.  if anyone hasn't seen it, the 30 for 30 espn episode is an incredible story-make it a must watch pre-game

No way. 40 is far more likely than under 20. We don't have anyone even close to able to cover him. He will score at will.

Have to hope everyone else sucks.

I believe Pomeroy has UW by 11. Vegas almost always uses Pomeroys projected score differential as it's spread.

I'm staying away from this game yet feel Badgers minus 10 is a good bet. But..rivalry games and home court are what give me pause.

Do you know how many people have dropped 40 points in a game this season? When I last checked (during Orlando) it was 2. Under 20 is way more likely than over 40. I think between 16-24 is a safe bet.

Nobody has had as big of an advantage as Kaminsky.

Honestly I think 25 is a lock and I am expecting in the 30s.

But if we keep the rest of the team in check and Jackson goes back to bad Jackson we can maybe keep it kinda close.

Is Okafor playing for us on Sat.?

I would take UW and lay the points. This game could get very ugly. Kaminsky will have a field day with  his size advantage.

Is the game remains close you may be right. If its not, he won't get much beyond 20 because he won't need to nor be on the floor. I see no reason to believe he gets anywhere near 40 points.

The emotional edge is HUGE in our favor tomorrow, and I think it'd be a mistake to downplay that angle. I haven't read or heard anyone talking about it either.

The Badgers will be coming off a physically and emotionally draining game barely more than two days ago when they take the floor tomorrow morning.   One of their best players is clearly hurting.  They are the heavy favorite.  Beating MU does almost nothing for them other than avoiding what would be a somewhat embarrassing upset loss.

Meanwhile, we've had a full week to prepare only for Bucky.  Wojo and the coaches can hype relishing the underdog role and how no one is giving them a chance.  A raucous and involved student section on our side.  There'll be plenty of Badger fans no doubt, but if we can get out fast, they'll be quieted and drowned out by our fans.

We lost by 11 to both Michigan St and Ohio St., one on a neutral site, the other on the road.  Those two probably aren't as good as Bucky, but they are clearly among the Big Ten's upper echelon this year, with great, and in Izzo's case, a HOF coach.  Now we get test ourselves on our home floor, in front our home crowd and students.

This screams out trap game for UW.  I don't think we'll win, but I do believe it will be under 10 and interesting coming down the stretch tomorrow.  As Wojo says, rivalry games can push players to play beyond what their talent level might otherwise suggest and do great things.  I have optimism for tomorrow.

Go Warriors!!!

Everyone is talking about UW's size advantage.  Yes, it's frightening.

However, everyone has surely taken note of UW's struggles this year already against G'town and Duke's quick perimeter players?  I think Duane Wilson, Deonte, even Derrick, could give the Badgers fits with their attacking the basket and quickness off the bounce.
