Hey--lay off!!. We have a young coach who is just learning how to coach (Forget that he was an Assoc. Coach learning at the hands of the master for many years) and young players being led by All Americans Derrick and Juan. The rest of the players were in Buzz's dog pound last year and are going through normal growing pains. The cupboard was bare, we have no height, and have not yet developed the chemistry.

For all those reasons, we must have low expectations and give the coach a pass. For at least two more seasons, when almost all the players will be his and fit his sysyem.

It has been a great start for the Big East.  Something this conference sorely needed.

It bodes well for MU if they can pull their heads out of collective asses and remember how to play defense.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

You have written: "The BE is 30-2 to start non-conference this year. Guess who has the '2'!!"

And you must really care about this given your use of two exclamation points.

Are you suggesting it matters how Marquette plays and that it matters how the team appears in relation to other teams?

What other reason could there be for noting that Marquette is the only Big East team to have lost so far?

Because they are going to be on national TV!!!

Whatever.  Guess our conference victories will look awesome.

Your reply here makes no sense. None!

So when you are not horribly misquoting people or posting yet another insipid poll or survey, you just write crap that makes no sense.

Your family must be so proud.

BE now 36-2 with Villanova picking up another good win in a great game over Michigan.

Villanova (#12), Creighton (#23), Providence now 5-0.

Notable wins: Villanova (Michigan, VCU), Creighton (Oklahoma), Providence (FSU, ND).

Wednesday will have a nice slate of possible resume-builders: Butler vs. #5 UNC (-10), St. John's (-1) vs. Minnesota, Georgetown (-1) vs. Florida.  Would be great for the BE to get at least two of those three.

Just wonder if anyone wants to keep track of all of those who have jumped off the bandwagon? I'm sure they will all be back later this year or next and act like they were with us all the time.

Sad we're missing out on the party.  It looks like its shaping up to be an exciting Big East this year.  If MU had been decent this year, the conference would be touted even more.  Hope everyone keeps it up to help erase that Mid Major stigma that is being attached to the conference by the Power 5.

That would do as much good as an self-imposed ban on Ners.

Many here thought we would be good this year, and Creighton would drop way off, including me. Who would have thunk differently? Now what the hell are we to think? I have it. No where to go but up for us. More Kielbasa.

That would be funny. I've used the ignore button on plenty of posters this week. Moreso than I ever thought I would need to on an MU message board.

Like the head coach of Virginia Tech?

The BE is 30-2 to start non-conference this year.  Guess who has the "2deuce"!!

FIFY

Kidding, we'll get better as the year goes along.  Given the attitude of the board recently i couldn't pass up the joke.

Stronghold

Butler is up 13 on UNC with 8 minutes left.  Could be a nice win for the conference early on.

Tugg Speedman

Butler won.

35 - 2 as a conference.  Again, wasn't it the head coach of VT that proclaimed this a garbage conference because it was not on TV?  Was that (a stated) reason he left?

MerrittsMustache

What's this board's obsession with how the rest of the conference is doing? Who cares?
