I give credit to people that care about the other BE teams and openly root for them to win. I can't flip a switch like that. I don't like any of them due to the fact that some of them beat us last year and we will struggle this year.

Did you guys root for UConn and SU, too?

Boehiem Exception. Hoya fans always stated you root for everyone in your conference, but you get one team you hate so much you can't/don't root for them OOC. For us that was obviously Syracuse. But you root for everyone else OOC.

LOL I like that. I think for us Marquette fans, that would be DePaul, but after the past decade, how can you actively cheer against a team that's that bad? Cheering for DePaul to lose is like booing the jabroni at a WWE event.

Definitely used to be Notre Dame and Louisville.  Now not so much.  I was definitely cheering for Gtown and Butler the past two days.

ST. John's in a nice battle with the Zags. They're going to cause us major problems this season. Their size and athleticism is tremendous.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Would be nice if St. Johns could become a consistent top 25 team.  The New York market is extremely valuable to the Big East and gives MU a nice east coast presence.

I only cheer for the three that have won titles as I think they're the only teams pundits wouldn't call "Cinderella" stories of a team from the conference won it.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Providence is putting up a good fight against Kentucky...26-22 UK at half.

Though everyone is watching football...

rocky_warrior

And DePaul taking it to Stanford....up 11 at half, and they were a 9 point dog.

Not so close now.....20 points.

rocky_warrior

yeah, good 2nd half for UK. Didn't expect Providence to win.

DePaul letting their lead slip too.

Xavier with a bad loss today. 1-2 against a weak field in Anaheim, especially for a team with a questionable non-conference schedule, is not a good look.

More fodder for the Big East's tremendous November. Marquette and DePaul were maligned but then MU beats Ga Tech and DePaul beats Stanford.

I know rankings don't mean much this time of the year, but 7 of the 10 teams in the Big East receiving votes.  Would have probably been 8 if X didn't lay an egg yesterday.

AP / Coaches Poll.

Nova - 10/9
Butler - 23/29
Prov - 29/27
G'Town - 33/36
Creighton - 34/34
Seton Hall - 39 / -
SJU - 40 / 45

Anyone still clamoring about this being a MM is a fool.

I still think we get no respect unless we get either 2 S16 teams and/or an E8 team. Need to have a few teams produce in the tourney.
