Win today. Join the Bone Marrow Match Registry. Dish inspired me to do it and it takes all of a few moments and a few questions about your medical history.

You join. They send you swabs. You send 'em back. If you match someone then they contact you to donate.

I'm in, and I challenge everyone on this board to join if not precluded from doing so medically. I pray I match someone somewhere.

I can tell you bone marrow transplants save lives and they will find a match for you. Until you have seen or had cancer first hand it is impossible to describe the battle that is being fought by millions who understand life is a truly tenuous, fragile precious gift. Be thankful if the worst event in your life is a Marquette basketball game loss. Cancer patients and families are my true hero's as they quietly fight the good fight with dignity and passion.

Registration has my strongest possible support. Bone Marrow transplantation was pioneered at Fred Hutch and they continue to expand the knowledge and clinical applications for these life saving procedures. If anyone would like to connect with the Hutch team for further insight please send me a PM. The gift you make could very easily save a life.

Interesting that if you are over age 45, you're a 2nd class bone marrow donor.

Now I feel even older.
