Know Thy Enemy: “The” Ohio State

Marquette travels to Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday for a tilt with Thad Matta’s Buckeyes. Last season’s matchup was nothing short of a disaster for the Golden Eagles. After tying the Buckeye’s 19 points in the first half, the Blue and Gold were outscored by 17 in the second half for a 52-35 loss. Good analysis and well-written. I can't argue with a single point you make.

Uhh...Anthony Lee and Trey McDonald are true bigs, not switchables  Amir Williams is not the only big.  Steve will have his hands full.

The article said true center not true big. But yes, Juan and Steve will have their hands full.

Trey NcDonald is definitely a center.  Anthony Lee may be listed as a forward but he is truly an inside post player.  Remember, MU listed Davante as a forward...  ;)

Nephew

Great write up, as usual.

From virtually Day 1, Wojo has preached communication and defense - this game will test them both greatly.

I'm excited to see how this team competes.  I want to see who steps up in a tough environment and tough situation.  We saw flashes last year from the underclassmen, Dawson vs. Georgetown in OT comes to mind.  How this talented but relatively inexperienced team competes on the road in a hostile environment will tell us a lot about what we have this year.

In addition to Juan & Derrick, I'd love to see Dawson step up as a leader.

Should be fun.  Glad college hoops is back.
