Watching the game for the first time .. The double-Ts on Ooze and the UVU guy.

Bogus.

First, no one deserved a T.  #23 bowled over Ooze, sure, but Ooze fouled him.  That sent Ooze to the floor.  Ooze's arm tangled with #23's leg, and momentum made it worse .. but it sure looked unintentional.  Ooze didn't like it though, and got up and, at worse, pointed a finger at, and body-nudged #23.  The push wouldn't have pushed your sister over.  On the audio all you heard was HEY HEY HEY.

Whole thing took 3 seconds.  Refs should have separated them and moved on.  Total elapsed time for that .. 4 minutes and change.

Ooze did over react a bit, but I agree not enough to warrent a technical for either player.

I agree no technicals should have been called, but #23 was a thug. He got into several incidents during the game. DJ got into a couple different jawing matches with this idiot. When #23 was shooting a FT, he was walking around by top of the key and DJ kind of got in his way and words were exchanged. He also hit Burke in the face and then Burke retaliated and got called for a foul.

I touched on this in a thread a couple of days ago but it got hijacked into a Cube discussion....


During this altercation (Ooze & #23) James was on the bench and had been for a few minutes--remember DJ & #23 already got into it once and had their time to jaw.  Once James saw the two (Ooze & #23) jawing he tried to break free from the bench to the OTHER side of the court.  He had to be restrained by the coaching staff/bench...I'm sure it was not shown on TV nor did many people see it occur (there were only 20 people in the stands!!) but just what was James going to do?? 

...the whole game James was 'off'--as in mentally....

...somethings not right...

anyone else see this Monday??

State: Saw it all. Our seats are in the lower bowl, Section 205, angled end zone. During the "altercation" between Ooze and #23, DJ stood up off the bench and took a couple quick steps toward the floor. Seltzer stopped him first, by putting up an arm. TC pointed at DJ and told him to get back. DJ hesitated and went back. I didn't think it was a big deal since I didn't think DJ was really headed out on the court. IF DJ was heading out, likely the dumbest move of the night. The game was still in doubt at that time and geting tossed out would have hurt the team. And, although it was a Monday eve against a no-name team, there were legitimately 10,000 - 12,000 in attendance. Your "20 people" comment was off the wall.
