I'd like to see this team with Chris Otule.  Hopefully Fischer can fill that role and more.

Congratulations on your first victory Coach Wojo!

Thought the exact same thing as I watched the 2nd half. Shouldn't he have a couple more years of eligibility?

No way JJJ improved that much in one year. In the words of Steve Taylor "F**k Buzz"

Steve was right on regarding Buzz of last year...Character revealed.  But, it was a great 5 year run prior to that.

At least owe Buzz some due for having gotten these guys to MU in the first place, but what's odd is that usually when a coach leaves that recruited a player originally - they are much more likely to transfer than to stay...whereas if Buzz stayed...JJJ and Steve were gone.

Good thing Jake got all that experience last season instead of JJJ.   ::)

This team is not ready to have Duane running the point with Carlino on the bench.   If Derrick isn't able to go right now....man, this could get tight.

I want Carlino running things. He's a baller.

Ha. Now we know why Buzz kept him on the bench all year ::)

Dawson

Well if you voted Dawson, you could just as easily vote Derrick.  They produced about the same although Dawson with one less turnover...if you are keeping score at home.

So the early indications are that J3 is going to fare much better under this management than last year's.

Real nice game, J3.   ;D
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Wojo ties Brad Autry's MU record 1.000 winning percentage.   :D

JJJ hasn't had that much fun playing basketball in a long time.  And great to see Juan being the game instead of getting lost in it.

Difficult to have any turnovers if you never touched the ball
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Good one.  I won't get into all the darts that can be thrown in your guy...let's just say he certainly wasn't missed in the 2nd half.  MU Basketball oddly became fun to watch again.

There isn't a "my guy".

Your ridiculous insistence on making every thread a Derrick vs. Dawson thread?  Not going to play.

Of course...in 3 times the amount of playing time.  Looks like Dawson will be the 9th man at this point so I won't have a lot to say on that...but for the love of God it was great to see Carlino and Duane running things in the second half.  Duane looks promising, and in my view, there is little reason as to why by conference play he's not the starting PG on this team.

Hope so since they've had another off-season of training, etc.

I think there was even a famous quote from Al about the situation...

Whatever fits your narrative. I thank Buzz for what he did years 1-5 but he did a grave injustice to JJJ last year. No way he becomes that good from no game experience. I have been around basketball too long and have nevery seen a jump like that.

There's no narrative. I could care less who is running our program as long as everything else is functioning the waway it should be. Every returning player should, by definition of their timeline as a college basketball player, be better this season.

Oh, and something about freshmen becoming sophomores. Did Al have a narrative too?

He did have a nice game, never meeting a shot he did not like either.

JJJ looks for the fast break to others first . The shots he took where makeable and he made them. He has a winning mentality.
