Not much on MU for much of the article - as expected. But they love the wojo hire and gush about it for a section near the bottom.

Also, KUboobs twitter site ... interesting.

Kinda offensive (upper mid major, Marquette going to be awful this year).  Awful?  I would direct him to look at that Georgetown GIF ;)

Golden Avalanche

I don't read these previews much because there are a lot of stupid people employed by sports websites.

That written, I scrolled through the photos like a true professional and find it odd that the Big East Pre-Season Player of the Year selection would be considered "underrated" in the author's eyes.

"And both the Big East and the AAC have multiple schools with post-WWII national championships, which is something no mid-major conference has."

Actually, the A-10 does.... LaSalle and Holy Cross.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Holy Cross is in The Patriot League.

So does the Missouri Valley. Loyola won in 1963.

NVM...multiple schools...

Only two schools in the BE haven't been to a Final Four.  Xavier and Creighton.

Of the 8 remaining schools, 7 have been to multiple final fours.  (Seton Hall is the exception.)

What's funny is when I think of the teams that actually make this conference elite currently Id take X over anyone not named Marquette Villanova or Georgetown. Kinda shows how far 4 of the 7 and butler have fallen since their glory days
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

My bad... you're right.  And so is Titus.

Not just a final four, but Seton Hall made it to the title game.

Only one conference (P12 @ 75%) exceeds 70% of conference members who have made multiple final fours.  One other matches (B12).  B10 is 64%.  ACC is 50%.  SEC is 29%.

Other than the Ivy League, the SEC is the only major or "upper-mid-major" conference where more than half of its members have never made a Final Four.  Even the A-10 and Mo Valley have had half their members in the FF.
