I'm going to vote JJJ at 9.5 ppg.  Think he'll have the most opportunity at minutes and has a number of ways he can score.

For the others:

Duane 8ppg
Dawson 7ppg
Luke 7ppg
Cohen 4ppg

I would of voted for Burton, but I cannot find his name.

I think the guys that are hoping for big time things out of Luke are going to be disappointed.  He has played in a handful of games and is still a sophomore.  He is the highest rated post player we have had since Jim McIlvaine and I remeber the crowd being absolutely brutal to McIlvaine during his first couple years.  By his junior and senior years as his offensive game came around fans started to like him and he ended up having a spectacular senior year.  He did confide years later that at times he felt like quitting or transferring early on as his and fans frustration with him took a toll.
Everyone knows big men take time to develop, yet everyone is putting these expectations on Luke and the team for when he comes back.  I expect good things from Luke as a Junior and Senior,  I expect growing pains for an inexperienced young man who still needs to add more strength. 8 and 4 , is my guess for Luke, and alot of that is due to playing time that he will assuredly get that may not necessarily be warranted if we had a junior or senior post in the program.
Duane and JJJ as guards I hope to see real progress.

Luke is going to be force fed minutes by default.   I don't expect him to be a complete player.   But 1-2 successful post ups per game, a couple of follows, hitting 70% from the line gets him to 9.   Considering he is 6'11 and will be playing 25 mpg once eligible, I don't think it is out of line.    And Bilsu is right.   Deonte will score more than all of them.

Why is Burton not on this list? /invalid.

Agree with you, I went with 8.  Same difference.  I went with 8 as I can see games where he gets in foul trouble as young bigs also tend to do, where his minutes are cut and we go smaller.   My concern is not with Luke, i think he will have a great year of learning and development.  My concern is fan expectations, i think everyone I talk t has the game or day when Luke comes back burned into there memory and has commented on how MU will move forward from there.  I think that would be awesome, just concerned that poepl are down on him i the dog days of February, when the MU and Luke ascension possibly doesnt occur .  hoepfully the boards and stands are not filled with people decrying their disappointment. lets not make Luke wonder why he left one disaster and came to something as bad.

Left Deonte off as I think we all have high expectations with him, and if he was an option, more than likely he would have won the voting in a landslide.  The other guys are all roughly in the same boat, largely unknowns, with very little data to go on as far as what they are capable at this level.

I completely agree and think the same should be said about HEllenson a year from now.

My concern is are we gonna play 4 on 5 with 30 MPG of #12.
If thats the case we can just forget about this year.

Texas Western

JJJ 11.7
Duane 9.5
Luke 6.9
Dawson 2.3
Cohen 2.3

I am expecting good things from JJJ and Duane. I have modest expectations from Luke. I don't see Dawson getting a lo of minutes. I think Cohen will get more minutes as the year goes on so his scoring rate may be rising over the course of the year.

Deonte and Carlino will take a lot of shots and should both be double digit scorers

I hope it's JJJ. I think that would mean really good things for our team. But I think it will be Luke. As Tower said, Luke will be forced to play big minutes just because of his size. Putting up 8.5 ppg shouldn't be too hard for him. If JJJ scores more than 8.5, than I think we will be in really good shape.

Luke: 8.5 ppg
JJJ: 6.2 ppg
Duane: 5.7 ppg
Cohen: 4.2 ppg
Dawson: 2.1 ppg

This season cannot get here fast enough. I'm so excited to see everyone in action. I think Wojo has been the proper shot in the arm for the "team" concept. It'll be fun to see the growth this year.

I expect Luke to need to be on the court by necessity, giving him around 9 pts a game.

JJJ: 8
Duane:7
Cohen: 2.5
Dawson: 4

Wojo seems high on Dawson too. Especially  his shooting.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I voted JJJ - don't know of course.  Whoever can hit threes will lead among this group (not counting Luke).  JJJ has this potential.
