I would think he'll be in the same range as Jimmy. $11 to $12.5 Mill/year. Depends in part on the new revenue scheme that's coming and is supposed to further inflate salaries. Wes was disappointed not to even be on the All-Star ballot last year as I recall. Between that and contract I'm sure he has plenty of motivation this year to come out of the gate firing.

Wow. That surprises me. I don't follow the NBA much, never mind the salaries of players. Still, I would think that Wes would make a whole lot more than Jimmy. Wes has more experience and seems to have proven himself on both ends of the court. Jimmy has certainly made a name for himself on defense, but still has a bit to prove on offense (though he may well be in the process of proving it this year).

I guess I am assuming, to some extent, that Jimmy will have a pretty good year offensively. The bulk of his value though, lies in the fact he is already considered proven as one of the best defenders in the league, as well as one of the most versatile. As long as he is decent offensively (and I think he'll be better than that), his defensive ability and size provide a unique skill set that will be highly coveted, and therefore valuable. Jimmy's game is also probably a little more well rounded than Wes with his ability to score inside and rebound. He does need to show he can knock down  perimeter shots consistently, which is the probably the one area where Wes is much better than Jimmy.

Jimmy is still on his rookie contract, making ~$2m/year this season after making ~$1 m/year his first three years. Wes is on the final year of a 5 year, $34 m contract. With both heading into FA this year, speculation is that both would make around the $11/12 m/year range.

And yes, Jimmy's 3 year gap in age bodes well in his favor vs. Wes' negotiations, which makes all the sense in the world at this point in each's career. You pay (or in theory should be paying) for expected future performance, and a 25 year old will project better than a 28 year old, all things being equal.

With the new NBA contract, salaries are on the rise and both Jimmy and Wes are sure to cash in.  One comparison I heard in regard to JFB was Kemba Walker.  He just signed for $48 million over 4 years.  Both Wes and Jimmy are comparable players and Jimmy is off to a great start.

First the Bulls are playing him to baby injuries.

Second, ever game he misses the more of a focal point Jimmy is in the offense and his demand increases.

Chicago should have taken the deal on what Jimmy wanted last week. It's only going to increase by next summer.

Yes no doubt his efficiency will be better with Rose but last year he was a little banged up and they didn't have gasol.

With his hot preseason hes kinda become the go to guy. If his free throw shooting wasn't below his norm to start his numbers would be even better.

He's turning himself into more of a scorer. I just think the Bulls screwed the pooch on his contract(not that I care lol). His price is only going to improve this season.
