I saw the initial post about this make its rounds on facebook a day or two ago. A young boy wants mail for his birthday:

Besides the obvious part of "If you're a decent person, you should do something for this kid" I noticed something MU-centric but I didn't see it get any attention:

• The Marquette University basketball team has an open invitation for the family to come and see a game and stay overnight at a hotel. "I know this is not much but might be a fun free night to brighten Beckett's day. Saying lots of prayers for you and your family," Allison Kellaher said.

I always thought Buzz's Bunch was a great thing for the community, so I hope Wojo and MU athletics are genuine about reaching out to deserving individuals who could use a bit of brightness in their life.
