Thanks. Clarification it was my wife's brother. I do have another somewhat famous brother in law at MU and he is alive and doing very well. Just enjoyed his company on the golf course last week.

Goose, sorry for your loss.  Prayers to your family.  Not surprised at all the reaction from the Roeders team to you and your daughter, Markus is a great coach, wonderful person and has been that way in the 20 years I've known him.  God Bless you all.

Goose - Sorry to hear of the tragic loss in your family.  You and family are in my thoughts and prayers and obviously you have a lot of love here - so the prayer line on your family's behalf should be quite busy and powerful.

Goose, doing what I can. For sure, from God's standpoint, this is long distance, but all the best to the survivors.

We have a short time here and it sounds like he lived every minute.  From the sounds of it, he doesn't need the prayers so I will offer mine to his family and friends who will deeply miss his minutes he bestowed on them.

Goose,

Thank you for overcoming your discomfort and allowing us to share in your loss and this story of a life so well lived.  My prayers go out to you, your family, and especially your brother in law's wife and son that you all find the strength you'll need to handle such a large void, coming so unexpectedly.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

God be with you and your family during this troubling time. Things that happen during our life's journey are sometimes very difficult to understand.

I want to thank all of you for the kind words. Your comments literally put a very big smile of my wife's face. She has laughed at me for years for talking to complete strangers about MU basketball under the alias of Goose and thought I was a complete nut. After reading the responses she could not believe how kind people can be in difficult times. Scoop really is a special place:)

Again, thank you very much.

May you, your family, and friends, find strength to help you through this difficult time.  Thoughts and prayers coming from JD.
