Stone's father is pushing him to go to Wisconsin and my take on it is that Stone is partially using the Newman excuse to get away form UW. What the father says is just pushing the father's agenda and until Diamond said it does not matter to him about playing with Newman, I would take what the father says with a grain of salt.

He listed the schools that are recruiting them as a package, just means MU (and probably lots of other schools) are only focusing on one or the other.

He listed UConn, Kansas, Kentucky, N.C. State and Miami as schools that have been recruiting them as a package deal.

That's some theory, but I would be shocked if any of this is accurate.

Read the article. There is a difference between narrowing your choices and having been offered. They've been offered by only a few of the same schools. If MU or Duke for that matter offers both then they'd be on the list.

What is good for Malik Newman is not necessarily good for Diamond Stone. At Marquette Diamond will be the featured player with lots of playing time. At Kentucky that is not a guaranteed thing.

It most certainly did, when Diamond as a sophomore said he was going to play in his home state. Things have changed a lot since then. Wojo is here and Buzz is not and Diamond is now looking to play out of state. I think originally Diamond liked Buzz even though his father did not. The flip side of this is you can think this shows Diamond does not see Bo as someone he wants to play for. With UW's success under Bo and the fact there is no other center on the team virtually guaranteeing that Diamond would start his freshmen year at UW you would of thought Diamond would of committed to UW a long time ago. He did not and I could be wrong, but I do not think he will go to UW.

I agree...though wouldn't rule MU out.  I'm sure Diamond is getting plenty of feedback from Duane and others at MU on early impressions of Wojo...which from all I've heard from the players perspective has been extremely positive.

Think Wojo's focus on skill development is huge, as is his experience working under Coach K and for USA basketball, and having the exposure and experience working with LeBron and the rest of the best.  Not to mention Jabari Parker holding Wojo in high regard.

Diamond comes to MU....there is a very, very good chance the team in 2016-2017 with Diamond as a sophomore...and Duane, Dawson, JJJ, Burton and Luke as seniors could be a National Championship caliber team...that would be 3 Top 50 recruits, one Top 10 recruit...and if Ellenson is here too...whoa...two Top 10s paired with 3 senior Top 50s...

I think Marquette's chances are incredibly small.  I don't think anyone from Marquette's staff has even watched him this week.  Wojo has been with Ellenson.
