Hey at least the new ownership isn't standing still.  Of course change for change sake isn't always good...

What has Kidd ever done in this capacity to make you think this is a good idea?

From Wojnarowski:

"For an NBA figure with such a damaged personal reputation – never mind no front-office experience – the possibility of Kidd being afforded this kind of power and responsibility is being met with downright mockery among NBA owners and executives."

Report: Nets 'done with' Jason Kidd
Jason Kidd | BKN
(June 29, 2014 8:47 AM EDT)
The Nets' organization is reportedly "done with" Jason Kidd, and they are discussing compensation with the Bucks to hire him away.
The compensation will likely include a second-round draft pick according to sources. Kidd has three years left on the original four-year contract worth $10.5 million. While Kidd isn't looking to take over the Bucks as president and head coach, he is intrigued by an executive role that has higher-compensation, and is involved less with the day-to-day operations. Kidd was reportedly annoyed by the big paydays that newly hired coaches Steve Kerr and Derek Fisher received (both are set to make more than Kidd) and that could be what sparked the whole fiasco in the first place.

The Bucks are a sad franchise

There is a thread already in the Superbar...where this belongs.

1 winning season in 11 years....a pathetic franchise.  But hey, the new owner used to invest Kidd's money so he should be qualified to do this.

Are the Bucks the most poorly managed franchise in North American professional sports? If they aren't the very worst, they're in the team photo.

word is this was completely staged by the Bucks new owners and Kidd in order to get the Nets to want to be rid of him

Jason Kidd was traded for an 8th grader.

I think the 8th grader may be a better coach already.

This is pretty funny considering Kidd might have been a month or two away from getting fired this past season. Kudos to him for righting the ship, but I don't know what he has demonstrated -- beyond the old "spill the drink trick" -- that would lead anybody to believe he has Great Coach written all over him.

Enjoy the 2-3 years before the firing, Buckos!

Oh,  I have an idea,  how about an informed article with facts,  that lays out both potential positive and negative aspects of the hire.

question, but first, you can't deny the new york connection.  now the question...do these guys(the owners) think jason kidd is the next doc rivers and don't want to miss out?  remember, these are hedge fund guys.  they are trying to get ahead of the curve.  hopefully not off a cliff.  but, i don't think i'm the only guy whose eyebrows were raised when not only was he(doc) hired as a coach, but then a gm/coach.  i was thinking, what was i missing here?  how many ex-nba guys went on to coach and have the success doc has enjoyed?  another note-i just looked it up-there are many and could be a topic all by itself.  granted, he(doc) connects with "today"s" players; he speaks their lingo.  but i never saw that coming.  but jason kidd?  his reputation precedes him.  word is that he was an arrogant pr!k as a player and is still an arrogant pr!k today.  so what up?

What happened to all the bucks fans? Thought there'd be more response to this.
