This might be the most interesting group of total coaching group ever, adding Diener really adds a name that all high school coaches in Wisconsin will know.  He will be a perfect addition in the future to become an assistant coach after a few years at MU.  Assistants move around all the time.  Lunch basketball might be more entertaining then the games next year.

Will be interesting to see who gets a shot first at heading MU in the future, Wardle or Diener.

On paper I'd take diener.  He has more name recognition and his family coaching/playing tree is insanely deep and successful and respected around WI.  Of course it's possible he falls into the trap that most really good players do when they try to coach so don't quote me on this if he ends up being a crappy coach.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Wojo is not leaving.

Good grief, Diener has never coached a day in his life and people are talking about him taking over MU  ?-(

Wojo to WV when Buzz leaves for Texas.
I have been thinking about you a lot since last weekend. A whole lot.

I knew Buzz wouldn't stay at VT forever but didn't realize he already abandoned ship for WV.  Do the fans now forgive him for dancing on their court?

Agreed, even in his interview, Travis was not sure what he will be totally doing and even sure his future, it is almost an internship.  Next step would becoming an assistant and that at MU
might be a few years away. I highly doubt in 5 years Travis will be in the same position, but great opportunity for him.

If you listened to Travis's interview yesterday in FDL you would know that even Travis is not sure if coaching will be in his future. He seems to have a pretty good level of self awareness as he has spoken to the coaches in his life and asked their opinions on his strengths and weaknesses and he pointed out that he would have to work on patience as others might not have the same competitive nature as he does. That being said, I would expect him to be pretty damn good if that is what he ultimately decides to pursue.

Travis couldn't pull down a girl to save his life in college. I think he may struggle if we're putting him in front of recruits.

Then again, we're all 10+ years older now. I'm sure his game has grown since then :)

I do remember him being not so smooth with some friends of mine at Angelos.

GOO

He probably didn't need to be smooth.

It just strikes me that Otule had, on some levels, a longer MU experience than Buzz did

It obviously worked with at least one Marquette coed
