Baring any argument on height, would the coaches or the MU team win in a pickup game?

muwarrior97

Do the coaches get Mr. Merritt too?  I'd say Coaches in a half-court...kiddos in full-court game

San Diego Warrior

Coaches would be really tough to beat.  The Wojo, Carrawell, Diener, Nelson, Gainey, and Presutti were all stars on really good teams and all still in their 30's.

Galway Eagle

Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

TheBurrEffect

All 4 dribble at the same time, new meta.

HutchwasClutch

The current staff would resemble our 2009-10 team.

forgetful

IF the coaches get Merritt, coaches in a blowout.

GGGG

I'm not sure I see any of our coaches being able to handle Deonte.

Nobody that's replied so far favoring the coaches are serious, right?  (or favoring them with Merritt even).  There's a reason they're not playing for money anymore overseas or elsewhere and are in the coaching business now.

The coaches couldn't handle any of the current roster.

Travis Diener would be the best player on the floor.

I think Carlino would have something to say about that.

Travis Diener could still be drawing NBA paychecks if he wanted.  4 years ago he chose serious PT over the NBA.  Today he chose his family's future over that serious PT.

Many coaches have walked away from playing overseas.  I bet Wojo is a lot like Wardle.  Growing his coaching career was more appealing in his mind than chasing the playing dream in Europe.

Travis Diener was logging big minutes for one of the best teams in one of the best European professional leagues just a week ago.  He was the MVP of the Italian Cup tournament earlier this year.  Carlino is by no means that good.

I don't know if he could hang with the "game changer"  :o

Is that the same thing as a 'lock down defender?'

Where's the final four, I'll book my plane ticket now.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

tower912

The players on pure athleticism.   The coaches win a game of horse.

The fact that this argument is plausible is pretty cool.  I'm having visions of Bo Ryan and staff smoothly executing the swing.

2 for Deonte, 3 for Diener.

lurch91

Depends, are we talking full size coaches or mini coaches? Of course, we know Dikta would win either way.

Ari Gold

if Fischer eligible? The players will need a height advantage
If not, I'm taking the coaches

Wait! Are you sure he'd even play? If I recall, he can't play defense.

Sounds pretty dime a dozen to me
