MUScoop Meme Tournament Elite Eight Game #1

Well, seeding the Coaching Carousel Region seemed to not matter.  We now have the vaunted 6 vs 12 match-up to secure a birth in the Final Four.  The nickname can't be stopped right now, seem to be a lot of angry alumni's to this day.  However Hoopaloop seems to be a polarizing figure in his/her/its/fantasy own right.  Will this be a tight match or will Warrior's continue to steam roll in what seems to be a date with destiny?

A constant topic for Marquette fans since the nickname change in the 90s, it resurfaces from time to time on Scoop for endless debate and argument.  Likely the meme with the most staying power.

Hoopaloop
This is one of the more controversial memes in Scoop history and is relatively difficult to explain.  Hoopaloop was a poster that popped up during some of Chico's occasional absences from Scoop for bad behavior.  This poster came to stir the pot as much as Chicos did leading to speculation that Hoop WAS Chicos.  Oh hilarity ensued.  Eventually it was "revealed" that the poster known as Hoop and Chicos "knew" each other and Hoop let Chicos borrow his log-in to post, because he just can't quit you Scoop.  Hoop disappeared shortly after Chico's re-instatement, but not before they mutually supported each others arguments for a while.  This event also spawned the beer summit meme.  This is why the internets are the best.

I am dreaming of a Hoopaloop vs. beer summit matchup.  I don't know which way my vote would go in that matchup.  The beer summit wouldn't be around without hoopaloop, but the beer summit takes it to a whole new level.  Please meme god, make this happen.

To be honest, I've been totally taken aback by the results of the tournament....there have been some real stunners in here.....long live democracy!!!

Hoopaloop is way too damn good.  I mean, a guy made up a second account in order to get back on MUScoop after being banned, and then when he was able to get back onto MUScoop, being given a second life by the mods, denied being Hoopaloop, as it was just some guy who magically disappeared once he re-arrived, but they did meet in his back yard to drink some beers once, and then he may have used the username a couple times here and there, and in exchange he gave up some Disneyland tickets.  The man could not stay away from MUScoop.  That is some dedication to make up a story like that, and some dedication to MUScoop.  It deserves to keep marching on.

I thought the mods pretty much shot down the "Hoopaloop is Chicos" point, but instead said that Hoopaloop was a unique user that let Chicos use his ID.

Haha c'mon Chicos.  Even if you stick to your story, you gotta admit it's at least a little bit too, shall we say, convenient, that Hoopaloop happened to show up right after you got banned (I know, you'll show me some random stats from his username showing he was signed up before you got banned), and then Hoopaloop all of a sudden completely disappeared, after being just as active as you are on here, right when you came back.

Thank you.  The trip is actually not this weekend it is the next weekend.  I confused the dates because this will be my 7th straight year going out to this tournament, and every single year up until now it was always the weekend of Father's Day.  This year it is not for some reason.  Anyhow, beers in your back yard?  Disney tickets for the team?
