Crean's low moments-

*Yelling at Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer when he should have been celebrating a Big 10 title (it isn't possible to show less class and what a small man one is than that).
*Calling out Seth Davis after their 2012 NCAA win over VCU for daring to have an opinion and picking VCU over IU.
*Weaseling out of Milwaukee without talking to a soul to take the IU job, and his players finding out about it through the media like every other joe average fan.
*Any tweet he puts out, like the one he tells fans not to bother tweeting him, he doesn't read them anyway.

Buzz's low moments-
*Chastising and lecturing McIllvaine over a completely innocuous comment following an MU win.

Crean's got Buzz beat by a mile as a complete a**hat.

Oh, you've missed more than a few.  Crean was an a hole to department employees as well as others.  Ask employees how wonderful Buzz was the last year plus....you'll get very similar answers.  Wait until these upcoming seniors graduate next year, there will be some more asshattery that will reveal itself then.

I would have voted both off the boat....because I'm going to represent the fine people of New Orleans that he bailed on also.

EDIT:  TIME STAMPING THIS FOR Lenny's benefit to prove I haven't voted.  Note the time of the edit.  3:51PM PST.  Note how I haven't voted at all in the poll.  Good one Lenny, you are on top of your game again.

TAMU, we get that you think that you know lots more info on what happened with Buzz than a majority of us on the board...at least you have been insinuating it enough lately. To keep making veiled references as to what was going on, or happened with his departure serves nobody on this board any good. If you know what happened great! There is no need to keep making vague statements however.

You can make this statement about anything that gets posted on scoop.

"Wojo's Mojo, we get that you are hurt about Buzz leaving. To keep making comments about how bad it as that he left serves nobody on this board any good. If you are hurt, great! There is no need to keep making post about it however."

"Ners, we get that you think Dawson should have started over Derrick last season. To keep making threads about all the reasons why you think Dawson is a superior point guard serves nobody on this board any good. If you know this to be true, great! There is no need to keep making threads about it however.

"Willie, we get that you think Buzz is a terrible and fake basketball coach. To keep calling him a downhome lonseome cowboy serves nobody on this board any good. If you knew he was fake from the beginning, great! There is no need to keep telling us about it however."

"Keefe we get that you think Israeli army women are hot. To keep posting pictures of them on scoop serves nobody on this board any good...wait a minute...this one might actually do some good"

This is a message board. Nothing posted here serves anybody any good. We are just here to discuss Marquette basketball. Nothing meaningful happens on scoop.

I'm actually surprised, I thought you would have enjoyed one of the Slurpificent 5 taking a shot at Buzz.

Now excuse me as I go and cower from the Scoop gods' banhammer...

And TAMU, we get that your one true love is the Buzzster. We get that it offends you deeply when he is criticized as a phony--which he is and which you do not believe. We get that you object to hot babes in uniform. We get that you are Mr. Politically Correct and are the Preacher of all things in your belief world. C'mon Man, lighten up a little. This is a MU board as you said. It is just not only your opinion that is righteous here--even though that is part of your mental DNA. You certainly are not going to stop Keefe or Ners from saying what they believe or want to have fun with. After all it is harmless. Unless your quest is to silence other viewpoints. If so, go work for the Feds in the Justice Department.

Funny thing, your blast here seems to center on several of Buzz's biggest critics. Does the truth hurt? We know how you opine for the Buzzster. likely you are following VT's every basketball move, which is a good thing, because you can keep us up to date on the Buzzster.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

This reminds me of an old joke,

You are stranded on a deserted island with Satan, Hitler, and Tom Crean.  You have a gun, but it has only  two bullets.  Who do you shoot?

Crean.

Twice.

I voted Crean. I still like Buzz. I do think Buzz needs to feel wanted and he no longer felt wanted.  I think Buzz would of had a mental breakdown, if he stayed at MU another year. Perhaps the better question is who would you want to win if Indiana was playing Virginia Tech.

Ideally, it'd be played on an aircraft carrier with lots of condensation.

Brett would be overly enthusiastically wiping down the floor.

I4 would be guzzling Diet Coke between karate chops and claps.

Both would get swept overboard by a rogue wave.
Relax. Respect the Process.

What does any of this have to do with you continually referencing what you think was really going on with Buzz and the administration? If you believe you know, that's awesome and the first couple of times I didn't have an issue with it. Now you're like a little kid, who runs around telling everyone that you know a secret and they don't. These examples you give aren't not even remotely in the same stratosphere as your little "secrets" that you keep referring to. When I talk about Buzz, that is my opinion. When you refer to the real story, you aren't providing any facts and for all we know these could be just your opinion. I actually believe that you do know more than most of us, but to continually make vague statements is counterproductive. Keep them to yourself.

One last thing. I think there are lots of meaningful bits of information on Scoop. You just have to separate the BS to find the good nuggets of info.

Wow. TAMU was commenting on how there's all kinds of posters that post their opinion ad nauseum, not that he thought any of these posters were any more right/wrong than the others. If anything he was defending these posters for their right to post whatever they want how much they want.

Self-absorbed? He was hurting. This is a man whose tireless efforts were unappreciated by those unworthy to provide professional guidance and oversight. Everyone cheers the warrior during the battle but disdains the sour stench of his body odor in the aftermath of victory. What some see as haughty entitlement is in fact righteous dignity for he knows that all glory is but fleeting!

Yeah, which is shocking as year one was completely opposite. Can't speak personally for the other years, but the guys head was inflated with an industrial air compressor, not a bike pump.

Goose and I compared notes and he went from clod hoppers and JC Penny off the rack suits to Gucci loafers and tailored threads pretty quickly. I heard stories of how Bert ignored colleagues and berated staff for silly things like the wrong brand of water. That's nuts.

short answer:     Both

Long answer:  I would ask Crean two questions about basketball tactics, offering him his survival if he got even one of them right.  Like... do you call a time out when one of your players is five steps away from a breakaway layup to tie the game with 10 secs left.  He would get both wrong (as he does when coaching) and go in first.

Buzz, I would ask one question and allow only one word for an answer...  Are you a phony?  If he's honest and says yes then I throw him overboard for making me believe his schtick.  If he lies and says no I throw him off for lying.  If he takes more than one word to answer then we know he's a phony and he's still gone.

Yup.

But that happens to a lot of coaches after a little success, but Buzz put it on primma donna overdrive.  Good thing people kept buying the schtick in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 however, when it was unbearable there.

Ask some of the folks that had to work with pumpkin head.

Lennys Tap

Every variable makes Buzz the more likely answer. The wound of his departure is still fresh, the school that he left for is low end rather than blue blood and he's coming off a disappointing season. And who knows how many IP addresses Chico has access to - you know that in spite of all those "Crean's a douche" and "I really like Buzz" phony posts he's voting early and often to throw Buzz overboard. But in spite of all this twice as many Scoopers would deep six TC. Says something very positive about the majority of posters here.

Dawson Rental

This thread asks the wrong question.  The better question would be; "If you were in a fishing boat with Crean and Buzz who would be the first to sight a bigger boat and dive overboard to swim to it?"
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

LOL.  Look, I realize your dreamboat left the program, but I haven't even voted on this poll, but good try.  It's funny, when the voting isn't like you like it, then it must be something mischievous.  What are you, 8 years old?  LOL

Here's proof...read it and weep.  Haven't even voted...just edited the post right below the voting to prove it to you.  As tribute to you, I named the photo "lenny_conspiracy".  Why don't you ask the mods who has voted, since you are now out there accusing people of something they didn't do.

MUDPT

Anybody actually talk to TC since he left?  One of my friends saw him outside of the Holocaust Museum in DC of all places, waited in line behind him to get in.  After introducing himself as an MU grad, TC had nothing but great things to say about Marquette, especially the Final Four.  My friend was surprised at the enthusiasm that he had for two grads after all of those years.
