If you were in a fishing boat with Crean and Buzz who would you get sick of and throw overboard first

Crean
Buzz

Wojo'sMojo

This has nothing to do about coaching ability. This should be based on personality, conversation, who's more sincere, or whatever else you want to consider besides coaching ability. Obviously just a fun thing to think about and no seriousness intended...was just watching a movie and they were joking around about 3 friends in a boat and who would get tossed!

Nukem2

Well, we know 4evers answer....  ;)

MarquetteDano

I voted for Buzz.  But that isn't to say he is better or worse than Crean as a person.  I just know he would annoy the heck out of me after about 30 minutes alone with him.

And I mean that in the right way.   ;)

chapman

Is there anyone else on the boat?  First instinct was Buzz as he's more annoying, but Crean would be too creepy to be left alone with.

tower912

Crean.   I would like to have a long talk with Buzz about his thought process in leaving.   I would want to hear his explanations for this last season.  I think I could learn more about basketball from Buzz.     Plus, IMO, buzz would figure out how to get the boat back to shore but Crean would sit there and clap while I did all of the work.

Tower wins with that last comment.

This assumes that Bert will actually be honest and forthcoming. That is a very big assumption.

If I don't like his answers, I will throw his ass in, too, and row to shore by myself.

I think Chapman said it best though. Being alone on the Briny with the Bronzed Beast is a disturbing outcome. And as you said, he would clap and swill diet cola while someone else does the heavy lifting. No thank you.

I take that back.  I wouldn't throw buzz overboard if I didn't like his answers.  I go back to Buzz trying to get the floor dry on the aircraft carrier.   If I have to be stranded on a boat, give me the guy willing to get in and 'mop the floor', rather than the sweaty, diet coke drinking clapper who is going to yell at me for the state of the boat.  I can learn more basketball from Buzz.   If he was actually forthcoming about last year and his reasons for leaving, that would just be gravy.

Of course, Tanned Tommy could whip out his cell and tweet for help from the Harbaughs, Maddux, Larussa, McCarthy, et al I'm sure they would all drop everything to rescue the Bronzed Beast.

You can't name drop your way to shore.

Kinda like you can't name drop your way to a National Championship

None of the above. Just jump off myself, swim to shore and write the boat off as a research expense for mental health studies.

This is the best post I have ever read on here.  Well done sir.

Who the hell would want to be in a lifeboat listening to the phony downhome lonesome cowboyisms?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Death wasn't an option.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

AZWarrior

Nothing in the poll conditions precludes throwing them both in.  In my case, Crean first.  Then try and get some straight answers from Brett, after which Brett follows Crean.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Newsdreams

Can you imagine Crean clapping while looking at you and saying, "I've been thinking of you a lot lately a whole lot...!" Have to throw him off the boat!
Goal is National Championship
CBP profile my people who landed here over 100 yrs before Mayflower. Most I've had to deal with are ignorant & low IQ.
Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

HutchwasClutch

Crean without a doubt.  He loves being the center of attention and he thinks so highly of himself, he becomes larger than the programs he runs.  He's a self absorbed, insecure jerk.  What grown man works on his tan year round?!?!

Buzz has his faults too, but I do believe he has more sincerity and class to him than Crean (which isn't saying a whole lot).

Crean's low moments-

*Yelling at Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer when he should have been celebrating a Big 10 title (it isn't possible to show less class and what a small man one is than that).
*Calling out Seth Davis after their 2012 NCAA win over VCU for daring to have an opinion and picking VCU over IU.
*Weaseling out of Milwaukee without talking to a soul to take the IU job, and his players finding out about it through the media like every other joe average fan.
*Any tweet he puts out, like the one he tells fans not to bother tweeting him, he doesn't read them anyway.

Buzz's low moments-
*Chastising and lecturing McIllvaine over a completely innocuous comment following an MU win.

Crean's got Buzz beat by a mile as a complete a**hat.

There were more lowpoints to Buzz' tenure, trust me. Still prefer him as a person to Crean.

I agree.  I think for both of them I could have added the startling number of transfers and in Buzz's case, kids recruited to MU, and then the rug seemingly pulled out from under them before stepping foot on campus (DJ Newbill for one).

The other one with Buzz that I probably should have included even though it probably was never and can't be proven, is the sexual assault allegations, and how he appeared to cover that up, never going to the authorities himself (except internally at MU is all that I recall he did about that).  I think he was even accused of gathering the players allegedly involved early and quickly so everyone's story would be on the same page, but again, doing little or nothing else beyond that.  I admit my memory is hazy and I might be off on details, but I think that is essentially how it went down (allegedly).

TAMU, we get that you think that you know lots more info on what happened with Buzz than a majority of us on the board...at least you have been insinuating it enough lately. To keep making veiled references as to what was going on, or happened with his departure serves nobody on this board any good. If you know what happened great! There is no need to keep making vague statements however.
