reminded me of games in the old Boston Garden ... some of the NBA Finals back in the 80's were played under rather uncomfortable conditions in that place, which had no A/C (and the Celts didnt provide A/C to the visitor's locker room)

Conditions are the same but people are not. Much of San Antonio's team comes from a warmer climate. I know for myself I ran year round and always beat better runners from Northern Europe in the summer and lost to them in the winter races. Many who move to different climates in the world will notice a major impact on their performance. There is some adjustment over time to weather but it is not complete even after years of adjusting through training. I know some will argue this but it is one of several changes in a race that can impact runners depending on training and experience.

Best part is the reason for the outage. A bad circuit breaker that they did not replace since they did not know what the impact would be on the other circuits in the building. A rather embarrassing explanation.

Dehydration can be much more serious then the media has suggested. It would not be a joke if things went south. Suggest not pushing your luck. It can get very, very ugly.

To be fair, dehydration shouldn't be an issue during a basketball game.  They have gatorade at the bench the entire game.  It is about 2 hours total.

They have half time where they can hook up an IV. 

No one should be getting dehydrated in those games, if they are it is their fault for not listening to trainers, or the trainers fault for being inept.
