UW not too surprising, girl friend already there, though he did have scholly I believe from mid-atlantic area.

This reminds me of a thread from 3 years ago and the best advice, which was given by Sultan:

Sultan's advice is found towards the bottom in response to a Brewtown Andy post.  TJ Shlundt would be wise to take the advice, since the advice applies to having a girlfriend in general.  Go to college unattached.

Seriously one of my kid's high school friends chose where to go to school because his girlfriend went there.  They did nothing but hang out with one another for two and a half years, but broke up half way through his junior year...and he hates the place.  Hates his major.  Hates the school.  His parents have basically said "hey you can transfer...but any additional years are on you."  He still is trying to figure it out heading into his senior year.

It is such a dumb reason to decide where to go to school...  It can be a sure way to ruin the experience.

He worked for an Air Freight company and is now a bill collector. Actually, I think he runs a regional sales team for his company which does collections.
