Marquette Year in Review: Jajuan Johnson

We apologize for these player reviews being so late into the offseason â€" Marquette played its last game nearly two months ago â€" but that pesky thing called the real world got in the way. That, and the coaching chance made us put these bad boys on the back burner. We’ll try and give you [...]<img alt="" border="0" src="http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=painttouches.com&blog=28348875&post=11834&subd=painttouches&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />

His lack of playing time sure was head scratching...was voted the hardest worker in boot camp? I didn't know that and I find it hard to believe he wasn't practicing hard and not earning playing time. He is oozing with skills and I think JJJ is going to be a stud next year! The best thing to happen to him is Brent hitting the road. Well, that's probably the best thing that happened to all of us  ;D

Good luck, Ahmed!
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

"Though the shooting guard position was relatively log-jammed with Jake Thomas and Todd Mayo..."

Ah, really?

"He was the unanimous choice as the hardest worker in Boot Camp when asked at Media Day"

????????????

I know you're just starting out, so, per usual, I'm being very picky.  I look forward to these articles, and I hope my nitpicks don't discourage them in any way.  In others words, thanks and keep up the great work!

I can't tell you how excited I am to see Jajaun next year. Watched him play pick-up last night off campus with the rest of the freshman and he looked like a totally different player. You knew that college weight lifting program would change him, but he looked extremely quick, confident and he was getting a ton of "Brust-like" rebounds crashing from the wing over bigger players. Add Fischer to this group and this class is going to be something special. I love that they all hang together as well. Seem like a real tight-knit group.

I agree with your assessment, Freeport. We have a lot to look forward to with these young guys.

Plus, if memory serves, Buzz raved about him during the preseason. It was odd to see him get such little run. I would expect that to get rectified next season.
