Another November to remember for MU?

In a conference call previewing the upcoming Maui Invitational, a few of the questions centered around Duke's perfect 9-0 record in the event.

Apparently, nobody bothered to look up Marquette's success in early-season tournaments under Tom Crean.

Marquette is 10-0 in November tournaments since 2001 with a pair of Great Alaska Shootout titles and a CBE Classic championship. Included in that stretch are victories over Texas Tech, South Carolina, Gonzaga, Indiana, Tennessee and ...Duke.

You can bet every coach of a ranked team took notice of Gardner-Webb's shocker over Kentucky, but a look back at Marquette's past schedule shows that the Golden Eagles rarely stumble in the opening weeks of the season..

MU is 27-2 in November since 2001. The Golden Eagles' only two losses were to Winthrop and Nebraska in 2005.
