And the word is Jabari Park really, actually, might stay. Hood is as good as gone though.

Ok, Park might stay.  But how about Jabari Parker?

You know wrong

How am I wrong? What are you threatening to do if Wojo commits the sin of not landing Ellenson and every other top state prospect?

Neither Buzz nor Crean nor any MU coach before them landed even a particularly high percentage of them, yet you apparently are still a Marquette fan. So what will be the repercussions from atk13thst if Wojo MUST land Ellenson but doesn't?

I don't think Duke has offered Ellenson yet. Marquette has.

Actually, he took the associate head coach position Wojo offered him.

Hope Wojo recruits the biggest and baddest team to dominate all others.  Unleash the beast!

Doughnut vs. donut
The dictionary-approved spelling for the ring-shaped cake made of dough and fried in fat is doughnut. The shortened donut has been around since the late 1800s, but it wasn't popularized until the late 20th century, when the successful American doughnut chain Dunkin' Donuts made it ubiquitous. Today, writers outside the U.S. still favor doughnut by a wide margin. Donut appears about a third of the time in published American writing.

As I reside in the US, and certainly wouldn't want to be mistaken for a foreign writer, I will stand by the colloquial spelling originally used.
I also will refrain from issuing you a citation for your omission of the registered trademark in the word Sharpie®.

Blue chip recruit in the state of WI. Wojo MUST reel him in!

What the hell does this mean?  MUST reel him in?  Or?  Does FoxSports 1 drop the Big East TV contract?  Does Marquette get dropped from the Big East?  Does the sun not come up tomorrow?  Do you hold your breath until you turn blue?  (Please, this one, please, please)
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

And all along, here I thought DONUT was spelled because people didn't want to pay for "unnecessary" letters on their neon signs!

Back to the visit, I bet Coach K told Ellenson that he could be part of his Farewell Tour and be one of the last players to ever be coached by Shesheffski.

i haven't looked, nor do i know if the schedules for the next 5 years are out yet, but does marquette even have duke on it's schedule over the next 5 years?  if not, i don't see why the polish k wouldn't be going on a little fishing trip to up north wisconsin/rice lake region with his fishing partner, wojo and what do ya say we pick up a high school hoops game after we filet both the walleye we caught in the slot limit allowed due to the over spearing of the lakes by our native americans,  if mikey k has any thoughts of when he may retire, no doubt he wants his star pupil to have success at his first job ready to take the reigns to cameron indoor

Nope. "Mikey K" has "star pupils" all over the NCAA. He's not secretly planning his retirement, spending the start of the recruiting period for Marquette rather than himself at Duke, and wasting time fishing. If he wanted to do some fishing with Wojo he wouldn't be doing it in North Woods, WI at a time of year there still may be snow. The guy is like 70, he'd much more likely be found in, well, North Carolina basking the sun with his free time.

This is absolutely silly. Right up there with people thinking Doc would quit his job as one of the 2 best coaches in the NBA, living in SoCal, making $7 million/year to come be Marquette's AD to convince Shaka Smart to coach Marquette or that Dick Bennett would come out of retirement to become the AD of the school that is the biggest rival of the school he took to a Final Four in order to convince his son to leave the program he just coached to an ACC regular season and tournament title and had a #1 seed in the NCAA Tourney.

Somebody in another thread asked if all posts should be screened through me first. With these kinds of posts (and it's not just you suggesting this, "rocket surgeon"), that would be quite a good idea. Could you imagine Duke, Wisconsin, or any other college basketball fans reading those things? If I were a fan of any other program I would be rolling around on my floor historically laughing. That is not how college athletics work. None of it.
