Who was your favorite player from last years team?

I personally loved watching Deonte Burton play. I love his aggressive, attacking style on offense that most of our players didn't have. He didn't get the minutes he deserved because Brent thought he sucked at defense, but every time I watched him play he was getting blocks, steals, and deflections that gave us a big spark. We all know he has a lot of upside and could be ready for a breakout year.

Who are you most excited to watch play this year?

I can't wait to see what Duane Wilson can do. He could struggle, or he could be a dynamic offensive player at the point that we have lacked. I see him being an attacking guard like a John Wall or Russell Westbrook. He could be the biggest difference maker, and a breakout star. We Will See.

Favorite player from last year- Burton, as gifted an offensive player as I can recall at MU, ever.  Just watched in awe at the ease in which he would come into games and just start scoring.

Honorable mention- Steve Taylor Jr., when he got a chance to play

Most excited to watch this year- Mayo and STJ.  Both of them seemed to have been burned out by Williams antics and style.  Both of them are very talented and now experienced, mature players.  They'll be counted on heavily next year.  I think they'll each play with a huge chip on their shoulders and have excellent seasons.

How is it possible for a man with so few posts to have a "favorite player."

How dare you, sir! Your presumption is galling. Very galling, indeed!

Crash,
Hey we have to let the newbies get their feet wet...and not a bad post really.

Blackhat

Last year- Trying to forget last year

Next year- John Dawson.... something about the kid, has length, athleticism;  could make some big improvements in D and O if Wojo is good, showed he was an MU guy after Buzz left.

. Agreed, MU will be just fine if Duane Wilson delivers the goods at point.

I'm just funnin' the guy, man.

But my real jab is at those who seem to actually believe that there is a correlation between insight, wisdom, knowledge and the odometer on a sports blog.

If Marquette pulls a scholarship I think they wait until the end of the academic year.

Just cuz I don't have a lot of posts doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about. And after watching every game last year I think it's pretty easy for me to have a "favorite player". If you're going to comment on here at least answer the completely reasonable and valid question. So who is it buddy? Enlighten us

I just asked him a simple question that he has yet to answer. No madness here, I'm just curious.

I have no favorites for favoritism is hurtful. I share my love with all and spread my appreciation evenly like creamy peanut butter across the rainbow loaf that is Marquette basketball.

I was not always so ecumenical or generous in the giving of my appreciation, though. No. I would lavish my praise on some while withholding gratitude from others. I was completely oblivious to the hatefulness of my ways.

But through the concerned intervention of PAKUNI I became aware of the vulgarity of favoritism. He took the time to compare the players and deftly point out their differences while expertly illustrating just how injurious had been my actions and behaviors.

Through the patented PAKUNI Mahavishnu System for Achieving Racial Harmony and Spiritual Purity I learned that publications such as The New Yorker is little more than a cesspool of intolerance, injustice, and racial invective. Particularly offensive are the New Yorker cartoons which purport to celebrate our essential if flawed humanity but, as PAKUNI has so aptly noted, is little more than a latter day Julius Streicher soliloquy on inferiority and contempt. I have since cancelled my subscription to that temple of illiberality.

So, to answer your question I have no favorites, thanks to the enlightened guidance of PAKUNI, arbiter of all things just and of good taste.

PAKUNI reflecting on the inherent goodness of Man

PAKUNI seeking oneness by removing the hatefulness of PIGMENTATION

PAKUNI illustrating the oneness of man - left and right merge to become one
