Since he's officially recommitted, figured it warranted it's own thread.  5 minutes of footage posted a couple weeks ago.  To be honest the reel reminds me a bit of Juan in high school.  But Cohen is better with the ball it seems.  Excited to see him to step on court!

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Above average ball handling, above average court vision, and off the charts athleticism.

I like it.

Only thing I noticed was his shooting form seems to have a slight hitch in it

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Yeah, don't know if he'll be able to get off that shot in college. But a great athlete and terrific passer.

MUDPT

How many different Wisconsin high schools have the Marquette style uniform?

I see him as a shooter type, not overly aggressive to the hoop.  Perhaps a watered down version of one of the Harrison twins.

Reminds me of Michael Carter - Williams

When I see around the back move on the fast break dunk, why do I picture Lou Brown from Major League?

On some of his shot blocking he looks like he might have a double jointed elbow. His arm angles made me cringe a couple of times, which also might make his shot look odd.

Yup, striking similarities to MCW.

Sharpie

Definitely more athletic than I remembered. The kid can sky.

MU82

We need shooting, and this kid shot 100% in that video. Yeah!

Seriously, I like the MCW comparisons. Also reminds me a little of a slightly taller poor man's Deron Williams. I'd take either one!

Very impressive handle, leaping ability and vision.

And yes, his shooting form isn't perfect but compared to JJJ's and Vander's, it is Larry Bird!

Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Reminds me of Juan Anderson, so lets settle down. This MCW crap is the reason you jump all over players when they don't perform.

+1

I posted that in a thread yesterday. Super long arms. Should get lots of steals. Maybe a little better shooter than MCW - hopefully will be as good of a player.

He'll have to work on gaining 40 pounds when he gets to the NBA :D

He might of looked like Juan in High School, but somehow Juan forgot how to offensively play the last 3 years.  Hopefully, Sandy can bring more to his game to the next level.  My early concern is how does Sandy play on the AAU circuit because day in and day out the competition near Green Bay is not strong.  If anybody saw Sandy play on the AAU circuit give us some info on how he played against better competition?

I would guess he played pretty well since national rankings are based more on the AAU play then their high school games.

Best course of action is to steer clear of this board.

He might have a good point, but sometimes a knowledgeable basketball observer might see it differently than those scout ratings.  Nigel Hayes would be a Top 10 freshman vs. Jejuna Johnson might be, below the Top 50 after watching him play this year, everybody has an opinion.

Not sure who Jejuna Johnson is, but if you meant JaJuan Johnson, he just needs some more playing time and time to prove himself. We'll see how he does this year under a different coach.

So, Evan Daniels, Jerry Meyer and Reggie Rankin didn't spend a lot of time in Seymour this winter?

Blackhat

Ideal Length.

Good hops.

Shot's not too bad, keeps his elbow in.  More of a flat footed shooter, kinda reminds me of Vander's shot.

I'd imagine they did - but for the rankings, they want to see how a player competes against other top players around the country. That's why AAU ball is so important.
