Anyone know the story on this kid?  I saw on ESPN that he is transferring from BC.  He's a 6'8" forward who scored 14 pts a game each of he last two seasons.

Do we have a shot?  Could he play this year due to the coaching change?

In theory he could get a waiver to play immediately but it's not guarenteed. I have not heard us mentioned with him, but I don't think Wojo has hit the recruiting trail full steam yet

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

What is this board's fascination with transferring players? Players usually transfer because they are being outplayed or don't buy into the system.

Luke Fischers are the rare exception.

+1 Its the Buzz mentality.

If this board has it's way, we would be a team of all transfers.  We would have to sit out next year for not being able to field a team, but then we would be awesome.

Fascination? It's just interest as fans, and this is a fan site, no?

Robert Jackson and Trent Lockett worked out pretty darn well for us. Jamil didn't have quite the career we had hoped for, but he was pretty huge the second half of the 2012-13 season. Even Jake had a moment or three.

If we have an opening and a good transfer becomes available, it's not OK to think, "Hmmm, maybe he'd work for us"? At the very least, it's human nature.

Ryan Anderson is also one of the expections. He averaged 14 ppg last season and the season before. He is leaving because his coach was fired.

He's 6'8 and was a 14ppg player in the ACC.  We have exactly 1 player 6'8 or taller on the roster for next fall (before Fischer).  We have exactly zero players who scored 14ppg last season.  I'm interested (but not if he has to sit out a year)

You are really upset with someone pondering the prospects of getting a guy with good size(when we have little) who has average over 7 rebounds a game for 3 straight years while also scoring in double digits all 3 of those years?

O yeah, he also shoots close to 50% overall and while his 3 shot isn't very good he has the ability to keep people honest.

No, it's not a fascination. It's someone simply asking a question about a guy who could absolutely help out team.
