I'm just curious when we're due for new jerseys.  I mean ours used to be super cool and unique then a ton of other schools got the same style and plus we've gotten out of the Crean/Buzz era now that took us into the retro style so I'd like to see something new and flashy.  Any info on this?

I'm a fan of what we have right now.  We have four different sets (white, yellow, dark blue, powder blue) that allow us to mix and match during the season.  I'm also a BIG fan of the piping we have down our sides.  That, to me at least, is really cool.

I wouldn't mind creating a new version of this design:

Farva:"Give me six Schlitzes."
O'Hagan: "Take it easy, Rod."
Farva: "Open bar, dude!"

ChitownSpaceForRent

Nah, like the current ones too much to change it.

Those look like the basketball versions of the Packer's throwback jerseys.  Pass.  It looks too dated.  I understand you're going to update it, but it doesn't have anything appealing to update I think. What they have now is decent.  Let's throw some more ideas out there.  It doesn't hurt to look.

I love what we have to but it's not unique anymore.  From my time deciding on MU (08-09) to my JR year everybody knew us by our uniforms in the very least but now Depaul even has the same style.  i think it's time to put it in the books as a success and start fresh.

I agree with this completely.  I'd be open to updating them again like we did when we switched from Converse to Jordan, but still keeping the current flavor.  I'd also be open to switching to some other retro inspired uniform like the George Thompson-era one pictured above...

Gotta stay flashy.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

What is the exact rule on the untucked jerseys?  Is it possible to make a version that can be tucked in but still honor the name on the bottom style?

The Golden Eagle logo can be changed.  It doesn't do too much for me.

You could put the name across the front and/or back of the shorts if you have to tuck the shirts in.  I can't really think of a way to do that that wouldn't look stupid, though.

Of course, I'd be all in favor of bringing back the bumblebees.  I bet the uniform rules have been changed so many times by the NCAA since the 1970's that they could find a way to get some form of the bumblebees approved now.

Wouldn't be surprised but would that be appealing now days? I doubt it.

That looks like the beginnings of a soccer jersey.  It's too .... rigid and European in styling.

Tums Festival

I like the general design of our jerseys, except the MARQUETTE across the front is pretty basic. I'd like to see that changed, possibly to the swoosh style like we used in the 70's.

"Every day ends with a Tums festival!"

MUEng92

I saw a freshman boy at mass last night wearing an MU baby blue jersey (over a short-sleeved t-shirt, otherwise it would be inappropriate for mass  ::) ).  The best part was the multi-colored bars on the side were prety faded.  To me, that means he wears it so much, it had faded from all of the washings.  I then felt better about the future of America.

As I recall in the Danny Pudi film, the NCAA has a ban on untucked jerseys.

Speaking of Danny Pudi, he has a cameo appearance in the Captain America 2.

MUMBA

There was a team last year (I can't recall which one), that enabled their players to customize the "ink stain" design on the back of their jerseys.  I'd give up our current ink stain design to allow for some individuality for the players.

As for the piping...I'd like to see four sets of unis with four different sets of piping...one consistent with the current design, one with the urban camo design of the doc rivers days, one bumble bee, and one that is off-the-board new.

lab_warrior

These please--white w/navy lettering, navy w/gold lettering, gold w/navy lettering,
and instead of zig-zags, just make the side checkers skinnier:

+1

Not sure what the NCAA regulations are about tucking in jerseys, but I'd trade our current valour blues
with a tucked in version of the Bo Ellis ones.  Simple, throwback, awesome look.

lab_warrior

Also, no camo BS, no black, pink, and no matching lettering/jersey colors.  Let
Oregon be Nike's Frankenstein-ish petri dish uniform experiment.

ChitownSpaceForRent

All of the ones you are posting are so ugly. Much different times.

What about a Marquette version of one of the older Indiana Pacers jerseys?
