Throw Kansas and UNC on there too.

Wow, if you want to go to a blue blood, and you're not being recruited by blue bloods, hanging in there until spring seems like the way to go.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I still think Buzz sent him packing.

Thought that at the time but it certainly makes sense now. Why would a highly regarded player suddenly leave at the very last possible second a Big East team where he was projected to play a significant role for a JC in Florida? There could be many reasons but Bart "Give the Young Man Another Chance" Williams would need something particularly vile in order to send Mbakwe packing. In hindsight it's probably best that he left. I'll let you figure out the who...

Harris is damaged goods. Some coach who is willing to take a risk will pick him up ... Bent, you there?

Indications, at this point in time, is that the present Warrior team will stick together for the coming year.

Maybe Harris will follow the Milton Doyle plan, Kansas for a year, then transfer to a mid-major.

I still think Buzz sent him packing.

Nope, he had legitimate personal issues to take care of. Had to take care of his mom

At this point, there is zero reason why Mayo wouldn't come back next season.

As of right now, all 9 current players are coming back, including Mayo, JJJ and Taylor.

The recruits are a whole different story. I think the Chief is coming back. The jury is out on the others

Considering both players had issues with the former coach, not sure what purpose it would serve for either one to transfer. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

+1

Brent "transferred" for them so they don't have too.

And what about STj instagram that he was staying?  And JJJ "I'm all in" tweet.

I'm not really buying the "rumors" that two days after both Taylor and JJJ say they're staying that they would 180 and think about leaving again. Especially since the problem they both had is in Blacksburg now.

Buzz leaving is what Steve Taylor Jr. has been waiting for.  He'll be back and he'll be back in beast mode.

2nd hand rumors that Steve Jr. and JJJ are still thinking about leaving.
I heard that Steven Taylor Jr was considering a transfer to Illinois. Doesn't make sense. but just passing it along.

When did JJJ say he was staying? Sure, he Tweeted, "I'm all in." When will middle aged men learn that reading a 140 (I think? I don't do the whole Twitter thing) character message from a 17-22 year old kid could mean absolutely anything. I spend way too much time following MU Bball, but people reading Tweets and claiming they know what they mean from a 19 year old kid need new hobbies.

Respect the process in that case.

In the Malek Harris case, this is a classic case of a kid who knows none of these schools can comment on him so he can say whoever the heck in the world he wants to is on his final list. MU wants ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with him (and they shouldn't). He could offer to pay his way through MU and MU would not take him. He is a big reason Brent bolted. This is Brent telling him to announce a final list including MU because if it doesn't people wonder, "Hmm, why isn't the school he originally committed to but wouldn't let him sign included on his list?" As well as Florida to get a blue blood in there so that when he chooses VT it looks like Brent got a big name recruit over big name schools. The guy can now recruit anywhere!

I agree.  Rumors don't just die away when new information comes along, they can persist for a while on their own momentum.

With Groce showing so much interest in sniffing around MU's table for scraps, maybe Harris should work them into his top five.
