Just caught the last couple of minutes, but pretty disappointing.

Asked Wojo if Marquette would slap the floor on D, if he (Patrick) could be shooting coach, and then speculated about whether Wojo was just another of K's disciples being sent out to audition for the Duke job when K retires.  Maybe he asked more substantive Qs before I tuned in, but the part I heard wasn't very informative.

People were ripping on Homer's show yesterday (which I didn't hear)...but from what I read about that interview, it seemed Patrick focused on pretty much the same fluff.

The purpose of these interviews is to announce to the sporting world that Wojo is MUs new head coach.  Nothing more

So if you ask some schmoo is Cincinnati "who is Wojo?" and he answers "isn't that the guy going to Marquette (Michigan) to coach?"

Mission accomplished.

Man, how many years ago did he slap the floor?  Unbelievable how that kind of thing sticks around. Also, the idea that less than a week after he takes the job he is already eyeing Duke. Give the guy some space to see what he can do.  In 3-4 years after a Final 4, then ask the questions. He probably hasn't even had time to set up his office yet.

+1.  Fluff to the max.  Nothing we didn't already know.

Spot on. I'm just hoping that he sits down with Barkley and company during the Final Four to bring the media blitz full circle.

He already said he's not going to the FF--too busy.  But maybe they could get him on remotely...
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Huh, go figure. A coach that takes a new job and decides that instead of parading around the CBS studios with a new pin and pocket square he actually works with his new team to get ready? What a novel idea.
