Chicos' Buzz Scandal Countdown

UW doesn't reload as fast as the Blue Bloods, and this is likely their last serious shot at a national championship for the foreseeable future. Does Bo go out on top?

They will still be very good next year, and with a national title Bo will get virtually any player he wants in Wisconsin. He is not going anywhere.

mugrad2006

They've got a solid pipeline and will be tough again next year, especially if Dekker and Kaminsky stay. I would bet he stays.

chapman

What else is he going to do?  Kind of pointless for the undead to retire.

I mean, they only lose Brust next year so they will continue to be strong. Add Nigel Hayes into the starting 5 and that's a solid team. Not sure who they are bringing in recruits wise though. I think Bo is 61 years old right now and comfortable with his legacy at UW. I believe he stays. Is anyone coaching an elite program on the hot seat/retiring?

The guy has been to 13 straight NCAAs and we're wondering how fast he'll re-load?

They lose Ben Brust.  Thats it.

If they win the NC, they are preseason top 5 team, likely number 1... Plus the B1G should be down(ish) next year.

This assumes that Kaminsky and Dekker don't declare for the draft (They shouldn't).

IMO, Bo retires if those two declare for the draft and they win the NC.  If they don't declare, Bo tries for the NC next year.

Litehouse

I don't see Bo retiring any time soon as long as he has solid assistants, since they do most of the grunt work.  If Gard and some of his other assistants would leave, and Bo had to start from scratch with his staff, he might not be interested in doing a lot of that grunt work anymore.

Eh, Dekker is projected first rounder, and Kaminsky's stock is extremely high, and he might consider selling.

Nothing is guaranteed.  Millions of dollars dangled in front of me at 20 years old and I would have probably thought long and hard about it.

Texas Western

They won't even come close to the national title. They will lose by 20 in their first game. Not enough athletes to compete.

I guess that you're saying that they're no Texas Western, hey?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

They rarely get blown out and Kentucky's youth will make them struggle against UW in my opinion.  Anyone's game.

Good news for Bo, he doesn't have to worry about doubling Estill.

I think there are a few match-ups down low that might require a double by UW.  Especially when Dekker is playing the 4.  Question is, did Bo learn his lesson from last time?  This could be very similar.  I think you are right tho.  Close game...

They may lose but that Arizona team they beat had some pretty good athletes.

Continuing the analogy to 2003 KY lost a key player to ankle injury.

Yup, and the ONLY guy that could beat the Badgers he let beat them by refusing to double him up.   It was fun to watch.

Strange, he's a terrific coach but what mindblowing stupidity in that game.

klyrish

Why is this the conversation? Let's just hope that they lose horribly on Saturday and it's so embarrassing they lose all their recruits for the next 2-5 years.
