I started writing down what was going on during the presser, and it turned into a way bigger writeup than I expected.

I usually don't like crossposted content, but I'm too lazy to repost it, so here it is. I think I did an alright job for some non-journalist that happens to be home sick today and was taking notes live:

"I think it's a great hire from the standpoint of, first of all, he's coming from an unbelievable, unbelievable background of coaches -- being coached under and with one of the best coaches of all time, a coach that I respect so much in Coach K," Wade told ESPN.com during a cover shoot for an upcoming issue of ESPN The Magazine. "And I had my time with Wojo in 2008, 2006 as well -- World games and then the Olympics. I think he's a young, fiery coach that has had success as an assistant coach for 15 years and now is ready to try his success as a head coach."

"So I think it's going to be a challenge, but I think this a great hire and it's a hire of someone they could grow with, and you gotta have patience and I think that Marquette has that patience. So I look forward to the time where I'm able to sit down with him and do whatever I can to help him with furthering the university that I love."

Note the poll on ESPN on whether this is a good hire by Marquette - 87% saying yes.  Good sign.

Agreed - don't think there was friction between Buzz and Wade, but didn't get the feeling they were ever that close.

Nice to give Wade a reason to sport some MU shorts again, especially after TC is out at IU.
