and would love for Wojo to make the dance with "Buzz's team" that did not make the dance...

While starting Duane/Dawon, JJJ, Mayo and Burton  ;)

So the whispers about JJJ's grades were inaccurate?  If the rumors were false Buzz deserved even more criticism for not playing him.  Hopefully WOJ can convince JJJ to stay his upside his tremendous.

Duh. We all knew this

I expect that we will hear something like this from most underclassmen and recruits.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Well at the very least, it is safe for MU to go back to Philly

haha yes, my bad

I just want to keep 2 out of 3 of Mayo, JJJ and Hill.  Not sure how I would prioritize them.

Agreed, but I'd go Hill, JJJ, Mayo

Great point.  Maybe he was set on transferring while Buzz was here.  Now that Buzz left, maybe JJJ wants to talk to his mom about changing his mind, that is, maybe he should stay.

Im pretty sure, He'll be back.....

If Buzz stayed he was gone.....

What I have been hearing (source is NOT scoop) is that JJJ was transferring at the end of the season. It was part of the reason he get benched towards the end of the season.

I have been told that with Buzz gone, we actually have a very good chance to retain JJJ.
Where are all the Buzz slurpers now to comment?

Hi Willie!

I didn't say it was a bad thing that Buzz ran things that way. The coach is the boss. If you want playing time, you follow the boss' orders. That's the way Buzz saw things.

I don't agree with that style. But it is Buzz's style. He can't go back on it...he'd lose all credibility with his players

Man, you are clueless. He did lose it--as attested to by their performance. Talk to some people closer to the Program than yourself.

I am not sure what doubling down means, but if it means he went all in on Derrick and Jake, then that was proven to be a losing strategy . He almost ran the program into the ditch with it and the senseless benching of Steven Taylor JR and JJJ. Hopefully we get JJJ to stay

My fearless prediction.  Newbill commits to MU, then in late May J.P. Tokoto announces that he is transferring to be closer to home.  Then an assistant coach calls up Newbill to see if he's filled out his transfer application, yet...
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Na, he's right. Buzz had two roads: Either go full on mea culpa, or double down on his strategy. He doubled down and lost big time.

Some people just don't have the vitriol for Buzz that you do :)

You call it vitriol, I call it calling out a phony. Look at how it affected the season, some of the kids and the program. It is inexcusable what he did, and you shrug it off. That's fine for you. But to say it is vitriol is ridiculous. Grow up and look at what happened.

It seems like every player has spoken, and said they are staying, except JJJ.  Has he said anything publicly?

That he will talk it over with his mother. He also said that he would probably stay.

I think JJJ definitely has a future in Wojo's offense/defense.

He can quickly convert a TO into an offense opportunity.

He can be MU's Andre Dawkins.

Grown ups forgive and forget... children hold grudges forever and can't grasp when people choose to let things go.  Which one do you think you're acting like right now?
